What are your weirdest keybindings?

I play with a steering wheel.

Oh, I do the same thing for sure. F for interrupts, Shift + F for my main AoE, Ctrl + F for “secondary” AoE abilities, Shift + T for Hex/Polymorph/Fear/Turn Evil, Shift + X for EMFH/PvP trinket, Shift + S for the invincibility CDs like Divine Shield/Ice Block/Deterrence/Evasion/etc., Num 3 for ranged stuff on melee classes like shoot/throw/Lightning Bolt and minor ranged stuff on ranged classes like shoot wand/Ice Lance, Shift + G for Healthstone/health potion, Ctrl + G for mana potions/mana gems, Shift + C and Ctrl + C for minor shields and class buffs like Lightning and Mana Shield/Sacred Shield/Ice Barrer/Mana Shield/Hunter Aspects.

Keeping “standardized” keybinds seems to be the best way to maintain some decent muscle memory if you’re an altoholic and play a lot of classes. It gives all my characters some sense of familiarity no matter how different the class is from my main(s).

Haha, that is weird. I’m left-handed myself (not assuming you are though) and I could never imagine doing a lot of things the left-handed way.

That’s actually a great idea. For my pet classes, I use Num 1 for pet attack and Alt + Num 1 for pet return. I never really thought to bind it to the scroll wheel.

I actually really like that. Never thought to try that.

The weirdest keybinds I ever had was for MC prog and it consisted of 4 diff levels of frost bolt and 2 diff blizzards

G= taunt or light heal depending on the class. (I don’t play paladin or druid)

Shift+G is a longer bigger heal, or AoE taunt

Even when I’m playing disc/holy I still keep these heals as g, i dps a decent amount as I heal, so I prefer to keep my dps spells in their typical locations. 1-4 shift 1-4, r, f, and shift r + shift f handles all of my typical single target spender and builders abilities.
Shift 3 is reserved for slows, and V or shift V are always saved for aoe abilities, with the only acception being priest. V is prayer of mending, and shift v is mind sear. Shift x is holy nova.

More people should do this.

You’re left handed I imagine? Kinda makes sense tbh. I imagine you’d have to be at least ambidextrous. No way I could play mousing left-handed.

I guarantee with pet attack on mouse wheel I’d be randomly ninja pulling all the time.

i don’t have strafe binded , i am just rotating

I had alt-q on Chain Heal since i learned it in vanilla classic. Because I thought “OK it’s that wc3 move…I’ll very rarely use this”

It still is alt-Q but when I pve it’s also on the 2 key (i like the little actionbar paging feature on the stock bars. very cool)

I also use F to target self. Left over from guild wars 1 lol

Funniest one i saw was a warlock pulling Magtheridon with scrollwheel shadowbolt

I bind keys like g, v, t, x, caps and shift and alt variations of all of them, but not sure if that’s abnormal or not. I also bind F1-F4 and find them quite natural to use, but i know that isnt for everyone.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Q E R T F G
` (tilda)
SHIFT+F
SHIFT+G

+2 side buttons on the mouse.
That’s been enough for me on Retail and in Wrath.

i never understood how people can use the f keys, like do you have abnormally long fingers?

I use ctrl and shift with scroll wheel for the 2 mounts I use. Otherwise every other keybind is quite common.

Not particularly. I play classical guitar though, so my fingers are used to stretching in odd ways.

.

I’m somewhere between ambidextrous and left-handed, I can do anything but write with either hand but due to practice I have certain things I do better with each hand. (I throw right-handed, for example.)
