There will be two layouts, one human inn and one orc inn
-
Furnishings will have pre determined spots where you can put them so you can’t just fully customize your interior
-
No exterior furnishings

Similar to New World housing in which it is an instanced house and need to pay rent
I want lots of reasonable customization, complete detachment from PvE and PvP, with a non-neighborhood style cottage.
I have none, but I am intrigued by the idea. Never played a game that had that option.
I rather enjoyed the garrison and class hall concept, so I will probably like whatever they come up with.
Every time you see “player housing” in GD, take a shot.
I have no expectations, since I will be ignoring it.
I expect them to copy a lot of what FF XIV does, although without neighborhoods. I also expect specialized furnishings that can be used to store only clothing, for instance, or only books, or only food. I expect professions to get a lot of cosmetic items to make, and there may even be a third secondary profession to allow people to craft their own items.
I expect it not to have any vendors. Having vendors in house, and not having to leave it to do anything, was the biggest issue that Blizz had with Garrisons. So, yeah, no.
I’m looking forward to it.
These seem certain. PARTICULARLY the second.
No opinion on the other two.
They said there would be options so either you can crash in a human structure as an orc or there is going to be a bit more than that.
They also said the same thing about Garrisons, a core expansion selling point.
Lets just hope they’ve learned their lesson.
I do feel like the initial themes will be “alliance” and “horde” generic though, which often translates to Human and Orc.
I’d love to see something a little more unique. Like a Quillboar Vine Cave.
So much of that was crazy to hear how many corners they cut. Still my expectations are put at their word, if they can’t match their word then they fail my expectations.
Not quite sure yet. It was interesting to hear Ion say garrisons weren’t like housing at all, and this will be much different. He also said no player power would be a part of it.
I’d very much like portals.
My honest expectation is that this will be yet another Blizzard example of a great idea that will get implemented poorly.
/moo
I have no expectations. I learned a long time ago to never have expectations from Blizzard.
I want rent control, especially if I cant afford a house and have to live in an apartment. And what if the HOA is run by Gnomes? And what… one sec… they just announced Mike Tyson… must pay attention…
I think they confirmed there will be more options than just the human one, although it could mean just the orc version for the Horde, they are probably aware how disappointed it would make players feel. My guess? They will have a style for each race, based on the zones they are found perhaps?
i got no expectations.
I have been wanting player housing but not at the expense of class balance. Not sure what is going on over at Blizz.
I think the foundation of the content will be sound, but in true Blizzard style, they’re going to drizzle a whole heap of grinds, time gates, restrictions and elements that stimulate token sales all over them lol.
i just hope they dont F it up
I do not want to set expectations for housing this early.
Yes it’s been announced and it is coming, but we likely won’t know more about it until closer to the Midnight reveal at around this time next year. So for now I do not want to create hype and expectations in-case what I expect Blizzard to give us isn’t what they actually give us.
