Yep, I’m fine with it.
The game is getting better and more interesting. If accessibility and a wide variety of content in Dragonflight and TWW aren’t the best for you, then I don’t know what is. Some people are always dissatisfied, and you can never please them. But is it even worth trying to please such people? That’s a rhetorical question.
I leveled this guy to 80 & went from 535 to 589 ilvl in an hour… hoping pack leader reworks puts BM back on top.
Level an alt. It’s what I do when I hit 80. Sometimes 70.
Max out Thaumaturgy on an Alchemist and play the AH.
I was pretty satisfied up through BFA, minus the changes to crafting.
If you figure it out let us ( and blizz ) know.
Lots of people swapped to classic anniversary realms till season 2 from the looks of it. So there is that. Could also pvp if you enjoy that I guess.
The same thing we always do? Grind content for gear and internet points.
elaborate here. I have max alch
Buy cheap reagents and transmute/thaumaturgy them, sell the new reagents.
It’s not fast gold… and there is a gambling factor involved, but it does generally pay off in the long run.
With max-level alchemy and the best profession equipment available, you can convert tier 1 (copper) reagents into tier 2 (silver) reagents as part of thaumaturgy.
As an example, buying 12,000 Mycobloom on the AH for 80,000 gold and doing nothing but:
- Transmuting the Mycobloom
- Transmuting all transmutegens resulting from step #1
- Transmute Gleaming Transmutagens into Blasphemite
… nets you about 90,000 gold in profits after putting everything onto the AH. That’s a 10,000 increase for just spending a little bit of time transmuting, which you can do from within the AH itself.
Endgame doesn’t always have to be about character stats. Setting goals for things you want that aren’t necessarily M+ or raid will help give you direction.
Some people go back and farm old raids for mog/pets/mounts after their prog is done since they have more time.
Some people go and do PVP for saddles or titles/mog.
Some people go to RP or pet battling.
Some people that means alts, and some people that means taking a break to go play other games.
This, endgame is what you make of it.
I’m personally playing HC Classic because to me, leveling is the best part of the game in any version. And I want to test my skills and do so without any deaths to 60.
Otherwise I’d be grinding BG Blitz, or playing another game altogether.
Already did what I’ve set out to do, so I’m waiting for 11.1 in Retail at the moment.
Undermine looks pretty fun, I’ve played through the story content on the PTR.
WoW has went the same way as FF14, I’m afraid. Everyone is wise to the endgame skinner box and so it shows that there is really nothing fulfilling to do now after you level up. Leveling use to be the skinner box instead, but at least it felt better.
Just go with the Basics.
You want to Raid. There are 3 difficulties: Normal, Heroic and Mythic. LFR is for beginner’s.
Dive to Normal Raid. Beat every boss. When you complete it, go to the next difficulty.
Dive to Heroic Raid. Beat every boss. When you complete it, you get “Ahead of the Curve” Achievement then go to the next difficulty.
Dive to Mythic Raid. Beat every boss. When you complete it, you get “Cutting Edge” Achievement. And you have beaten the Game.
But Mythic Raid seems too hard for Casuals. You could just get Ahead of the Curve Achievement and call it. Just get AoTC or CE and claim that you have beaten Raid Dungeon.
There is also Mythic+. You start at Zero and climb til you get 2000 M+ rating; that is called Keystone Master (KSM). You could get this just by timing +7s on all dungeons. If KSM is too easy for you, there is a next Achievement… Keystone Hero (KSH) at 2500 M Rating. Just get KSM or KSH and claim you beat Mythic+.
Delves could help you gear up to attain KSM or AoTC. There is a Glory of the Delver Achievement. Just get that achievement and claim that you beat Delves. If you want more, kill Zekvir??.
In Summary:
Raid: AoTC or CE
Mythic+: KSM or KSH
Delves: Glory of the Delver or kill Zekvir??
You want gear to beat the game. Go get them.
The endgame is pretty much spamming M+ as high as possible, as it’s the only true repeat content. Mythic raid is another bag of worms because it requires a large team and there’s lockouts that prevent PUGs from throwing together prog teams for later bosses at will.
Delves aren’t really a good progression endgame since the gear rewards suck and soloing the highest level delves + Zekvir is pretty easy. On top of that you can make it even easier by forming a group. Once to beat it all there’s really no point to go back.
PvP is in a sorry state, so unless you’re a diehard you’ll probably avoid or or just do enough to get the rewards you want.
World content is pretty quick and easy, and if you grind a decent amount you can wrap up most meaningful stuff.
IMO no game is really meant to be played forever. You’ll run out of stuff to do at some point, so if you’re not into doing chores and random stuff to fight off the boredom you’re better off just canceling your sub until the next patch.
So this post is about rumors??? LOL comr back with your own opinion if possible.
You do the same thing that you have done for pretty much the entirety of WoW, and absolutely since Legion. You gear up to your difficulty cap. For me thats Heroic and KSM. Thats where I have the most fun playing. Once there, I get fairly geared to that level. Then, I do the same with alts.
The loop is pretty much unchanged. You push the games difficulty as far as you can do, or want to do. You gear as much as you can at that difficulty. Then you do the same for alts, or you collect mounts/pets/mogs/achieves ect. At least now there are solo delves for something else to do if you want.
Raids, M+, Delves, Arenas, RBGs, unrated pvp, heroic dungeons, world quests, pet battles, transmog farming, mount farming, toy collecting, professions, holiday events, etc etc…
There’s a lot of things you can choose to do, you just have to decide what you actually want to do. If you’re riding a gear treadmill and you don’t like it, ask yourself why you’re on the treadmill at all.
Group content is generally more fun when you find a guild of people to make friends with and play casually with.
It’s all a bunch of cheating win trading exploiters in PvP. They use addons to win trade now. And it is because of that that almost no PvP queues happen at any levels below max level cuz they were doing the same thing for low levels too.
