What are the most underrated mounts?

The Obsidian Worldbreaker is in my opinion. It’s a mount I like a lot, though it isn’t in my top 10. Still, those of us with this mount get to ride an expansion boss.

This is the closest we’ll ever get to having an Arthas mount.

I still think the Jailer would make an awesome Poundfist reskin. Imagine a gnome sitting on his shoulders and there’s a bit and bridle in his mouth and he’s otherwise just walking through Ashenvale like the Jailer. :dracthyr_lulmao:

What mounts get overlooked, but shouldn’t?

I still prefer a lot of Vanilla mounts and wish they’d get updated models. Newer mounts are like new dungeons. They get weirder and weirder trying to outdo the last one. Give me a high resolution Mechanostrider, Wind Rider, or Nightsabre.

If I couldn’t fly, I would use the night elf starter mounts

I still ride my Springstrider and I got the red turbostrider for when I’m grounded. Old school Hippogryphs like the Cenarion and the ones from Trial of the crusader stuff I like as well.

The swift gryphon and wind rider mounts are still my favorite mounts to use after all these years. Not oversized like the drake mounts, and no excessive movements like the sky golem or chimera mounts. Nice and simple. Would love to see more updated models of each.

I love Cenarion war hippogryph, it’s not too flashy, is not too big, doesn’t make too much noise, and doesn’t have overbearing color scheme. It’s just right, and I love it.

I want to say Tyreal’s Charger, but i don’t know if that’s just because it’s somewhat rare due to being unobtainable .

Either way , I enjoy it.

Netherwing Drakes to me are timeless.

Broken Highland Mustang & Smoky Direwolf are two ground mounts I always use.

I’d say the Thundering Onyx Cloud Serpent is “Timeless”.

The Flying Fig. Very rarely seen. In fact, I believe I’m the only one who has seen one. Extremely rare.

What if when we die, the afterlife is just camping the Sha of Anger for eternity, trying to get a drop that never comes?

I’m fully aware I’m the odd one out, but I really love the hippogryph mounts. They’re a good size (I’m not a huge fan of the extra huge mounts), both their run and flying animations are nice to look at, and they come in a variety of colors! Would love a more high-poly snowy hippogryph.

Taurens are a underrated mount.

One of my favorites that I almost never see is the vicious mount that was released with the first season of BFA for Alliance, the vicious hippo. It’s such an adorable mount and looks better than the other pseudo-hippo mounts we have. Just look at that face! Adorable.

Blue Mechanostrider. Mainly any of the first mounts we tend to get when we first start playing World of Warcraft for the first time. I like to use my Blue Mechanostrider at times because it was my very first mount on my first account many years ago. A mount nowadays I imagine many don’t care for, but for me, it reminds me of some fond memories I had, and have had since way back when.

I like most of the mechagon mounts, my favorite would be the spider.

All the fox mounts. Though I do see them a decent amount so maybe they’re not underrated exactly, but they’re certainly my favourite (cuz I love foxes a lot ;o;).

I’ve unlocked most of them now. Still need to unlock the war foxes though but I’ve never been that good at PvP or had enough time to dedicate to it. :stuck_out_tongue:

So that’s what the cancelled zone in Shadowlands was…

The shado-pan tigers are nice,
The charhound from antorus looks like the perfect grounded mount to take through the Dragon Isles.

One of my favorite mounts is Lucky Yun, a golden bull that can fly. There’s something about him that makes him fly very smoothly. He stands out from most environments, which is easier on my eyes. He’s compact, too, so he’s really useful for mining. In non-flying zones, he’s still very useful for getting over rough terrain quickly, and his jump-in-place animation is fun to watch.

Mostly I like him because of how well I’m able to mine nodes very quickly with him. It makes him a real cash cow, and he’s worth his weight in gold.
