blizzard took inspiration from irl religions gaelic for one. that disney reimagining is just that a change like alot of newer things. the blood/high elves and the like came from the inspiration of jrr tolkien who himself was inspired and took from old anglo saxon and norse mythology of the light elves.

Mhm. Altho you almost don’t even need subtitles. You get most of the dialogue just watching the characters rather than the subtitles.
If theres a dubbed version, I never saw it

I know both FernGully and Avatar were very political. But because FernGully is from my childhood I have a happier memory of it.

Yup. Just look into Gaelic mythology. “Religion” in those days was quite different than what we have now in general.

I have watched it many a time on video, and I actually saw it twice in theatre, but it was always Spanish with subtitles. 0_o
I think bastion should have been a bit more val’kier based. I like it for what it tries to be but more val’kier would have been nice.
Ah well I still have my summon val’kier talent I use in Elysian hold just to add to the atmosphere lol.
