What’s the point of grinding in Wrath if Cata is coming out?

Holy cow dude, I never recognize any name in a forum but you have so many negative post daily. You don’t play, you’re a forum troll.

This is classic, cata is when activision took over and changed the game entirely. They aren’t going to come out with cata because that doesn’t make any sense. If they do then I’m going to quit. I knew they would release TBC and Wrath because that’s when WoW was WoW and not retail.

PSA to all the weird trolls on this forum (im sure many of them are alts of the same guys)

You’re not making some “epic troll thread” just because you got a lot of replies. it’s neither funny or rage-inducing to just have some “lame take” that will bait noobs into typing a sentence or two that basically amount to “is this OP a moron?”

Check out some “ken M” trolling if you want actual inspiration for good troll messages

I’m not twisting your post. You said you’d rather be in wrath (I assume classic here) than in retail, right? Whats the point? If it’s all going to disappear?

By that logic whats the point to play any expansion if there is another one comimg out? Might as well stop playing the game then

Looks like MMOs arnt for you bc thats what it is lol

hope they skip cata haha

Whats the point of replying to this thread, when you’ll just make another stupid thread tomorrow?

If you don’t enjoy the “grind” you might be playing the wrong game. Building a character and improving it is a lot of the fun of this game if you ask me.

What’s the point of playing any game then? You’re playing a game too. How dense.

You must be another troll for ignore. This forum is cancer.

Do people on the forums have alt accounts just to post stupid stuff like this?

Lol… Not even trying to troll ya. But whatever. You do you. I just think it’s silly for anyone to be grinding classic like these things will be here forever. They won’t. They want you back in retail.

Loot council sucked, period. Everyone had favorites. Wrath was the last time I ever played in any tier clearing guild running that system. It was essentially friends ninja looting, and when they were done gearing, the rest got the scraps.

When the content was cleared, those that weren’t fully geared were left in the dust, because they moved on to another game until next content patch.

Every single loot system similar to that always fell victim to this. You should feel lucky had yours not.

I’m convinced you like attention because every post is so bad

Well looking back and seeing how they handled classic vanilla really turned away a lot of the player base and it was pretty obvious when they charged people to copy their characters to vanilla and TBC it just seemed like every step of the way they were monetizing everything and people are sick and tired of it because that’s not what classic is supposed to be about they’re already charging a subscription fee to play the game and on top of that they’re monetizing with items that were never even in the original game, there’s a lot of people that went back to private servers because they don’t have to put up with all the stuff that they have to put up with with blizzard. private servers will ban bots they have people that actually take care of the server, I’m not saying they’re perfect, I’ve never played one I’m only repeating what people have expressed about their experience on private servers.

I’ve come to believe that blizzard just needs to make one or two servers for each expansion possibly just one so if you want to play Legion you can choose the legion server and start a character and play Legion for as long as you want.
They keep talking about separating the player base I don’t think that’s really the real reason because if they truly cared about the player base they wouldn’t have done a lot of the things that they’ve done over the last 10 years with the game I think if they were to just have one or two servers for each expansion that people could choose from people would play it people would probably come back because there’s a lot of people that only like wrath and they want to stay with wrath indefinitely there’s other people that they want to continue on with cata or they would rather play mop.

Yeah this is basically how I feel.

They just need to add era-specific servers and not force ppl to "upgrade’ to the next xpac.
Once they do that, we’ll have REAL classic servers

At least one PvP and one PvE. It’s too late for TBC as they invalidated all our progress.
Not a fan of starting over all the time. But if we have fixed x-pac servers then it might be worth it down the line, this time knowing they wont remove it.

Welcome to every MMO. Sounds like this may not be the genre for you. Also I’d probably avoid ARPGs as well to be safe.

I mean thats how the base game has gone this entire time. But it was pretty gutting to log into the most populated classic servers and see 3 people on in the entire faction during tbc.

People are going to speed through content, phases release quicker and it’ll be cata shortly. But if the community doesnt want to play classic or whatever the second latest expansion is at the time, I dont think Blizzard can do much. I would have rather kept playing classic over tbc, but clearly im in the minority. People get bored.

Ive long thought it would have been amazing to use classic as a fork and have them just build onto that game in a different direction. Add new zones, dungeons, raids, quests. Have community feedback on ideas. Maybe bring back old-old av for a start. It has some cool mechanics. Theres a lot of potential to have it be its own game, potentially could rework the whole game if they felt like it. But thats much less likely than just adding content.

With master loot coming back to retail all of wow is going to be run by gdkp/token groups soon. My take on your points are just to enjoy the moment, if you aren’t having fun find new people to play with and if you still feel like it’s just a waste of time then move on.
