What’s the point of grinding in Wrath if Cata is coming out?

What is the point playing now if a new expansion is coming later.

That you must ask yourself. What are you doing with your time and your life.

I honestly wish it’d never come out. I hated cata personally, it made me stop playing and I went to FF14 because if it. I tried to come back in that expansion when demon hunters were introduced but I just didn’t like the direction the game was taking.

I intend to have fun in lich king and then my journey will end when cataclysm releases. I’m not trying to slight those that enjoyed it, it just wasn’t for me (although I did love doing the fury burst warrior in battlegrounds. That was hilarious).

I thought you were playing dragonflight. Stop

What are these forums…

Neither TBC nor Wrath are Classic WoW. You’re talking about retail the progression realms. Classic WoW is currently in Phase 6 of Era. Perhaps a Phase 7 will come about once everyone is disillusioned by retail’s expansions.

Which isn’t possible unless you step back in time.

You cannot relive the past. The past is GONE.

A lot of people gonna unsub if they lose Wrath lol

What should happen is a fork at Wotlk with an option to stay on wotlk and another to move to an other server that will go towards cata and beyond.

For me anything after wotlk was horsesh*t and that is when I stopped raiding which is why a fork like what was done for vanilla classic with BC would be welcomed otherwise I won t bother playing classic anymore if it is only classic and one year one new expansion to reach retail

Didn t their internal data showed that people wanted to stay on wotlk and that after wotlk subs went downhill?

Whats the point of life you are going to die.

Honestly, if they dont keep the wrath servers im out. I’ve dislike the game since cata. Im on borrowed copium that dragonflights gonna turn it around for me but 15 years of this (not 100% active of course) to only have enjoyed like 4 of them finally got to me. Same tired expac formula where nothing you do matters 12 months later.

They should keep the Wrath servers open (maybe compressed depending on pop) and then just skip all the other expansions and release Legion classic. Because Legion was genuinely a fun experience.

First time playing wow?

why play shadowlands when dragonflight is coming out? why play dragonflight when a new xpac is coming out after? why play wrath when cata is coming? why play cata when mop is coming? I dont know maybe because thats the whole point of the game? You play thousands of hours into 1 xpac to basically prepare for the next one, its that simple.

But what are you preparing for in Classic? If they plan on removing all Wrath servers like they did TBC to just get into Cata then none of this really means much.

I feel like maybe that’s what I don’t like, it feels too cyclical and considering a lot of people said they’d leave if Cata comes out I can’t imagine any prep you do now will matter much.

Garmuck strikes again with another post that is destined to receive a bunch of hate lol. I mean yeah it’s like Slicy said it’s for fun man what else is the point in gaming in the first place. I mean what’s the point in growing crops in harvest moon when fruit trees/ ore will give you all the money you need :slightly_smiling_face:

Why complain on the forums, when you’ve done it every day so far? Because you’re bored and it’s something pointless that you get enjoyment out of. Same reason.

Because Cata is absolute trash. If they close the wrath serves there is no reason for a huge amount of players to keep their active accounts. I invite them to Warmane instead.

Best thing I have read today. Expecting something new and unique from 15+ year old content.
