Talking about Lady Vashj here.
Goblins invented deep frying, Gnomes invented air fryers. Both races however are united in horror at the fact humans won’t stop making **** like deep fried ice cream and deep fried funnel cake cheeseburgers.
He got it.
He did betray his people to the Legion.
Well, Akama wanted to have the temple and be left alone. Kael’thas wanted to sacrifice his own people for personal power. Bit of a difference.
Look, I get it. You liked the idea of what you thought Kael’thas was going to be, or could have been. And not liking the direction taken with a character is entirely fair. But your ‘everyone who wasn’t nice to him should burn’ kind of approach is not constructive and frankly, not healthy.
At the end of the day, Kael’thas was a villain. That was how he was written. He got justice, and has even started a redemption. You are free to wish they never made him a villain. But looking to create an argument that wasn’t there because you are upset about that is not going to lead to anything good for you or anyone else.
Weird move of the goal post. She doesn’t really fit into any of the rest of the conversation. She didn’t turn on Illidan.
I wouldn’t really classify it as ‘silly’, but I tend to headcanon a lot when it comes to the Bloodtotem tribe.
I’m not going to refer to my guild post, but I have been theorcrafting a certain form of capital punishment for the Bloodtotem tribe.
The Mountains Burden - Within a Bloodtotem settlement, there must always be a paddock for punishment involving four carved totems placed facing the cardinal directions.
These totems are supported against each other in a fashion to form as a scaffold or brace for a grand wooden bowl to be hoisted between these four totems, like a chalice.
The condemned is placed beneath this bowl and his or her hooves are lashed with rope or chains to keep them centered beneath this heavy bowl.
For every crime the condemned is found guilty of, a boulder is painted with said crime and heaved into the wooden bowl.
After every crime has been attributed in this form of capital punishment, the condemned is tasked to shoulder and bear that weight for a full week.
If the condemned has allies who approve of their actions that lead to these crimes, or feels the sentence is unjust, they may join the prisoner to help ease that weight throughout their sentencing.
At the end of the week the corpse of the condemned is removed, or if they survive they are released under surviving the trial.
Any chieftain who issues this sentence will have a painted boulder with the accuseds name upon it, and the chieftain by custom must bear these weights by the end of every year under the same conditions as the condemned.
Forsaken really get none of the cool factor undead get in fantasy.
They do in quests and world interactions. That’s where you’ll find like Chadwick Paxton cut the duck in half and he’s reacting to it with the sort of mild embarrassment usually reserved for locking your keys in your car.
You also have cool asides like an undead in Ashran swapping war stories with an Orc and the guy’s bewildered a human freaked out so much over having his leg lopped off. Suggesting they kind of get detached from mortal concerns in a sort of Dr.Manhantan “Ah yeah you need to breathe” kind of way.
But then the writers come in and suggest they’re averse to clapping because that might be to odamaging to their old bones. So they’re somewhere between a light breeze being lethal and being able to bounce back from ish that would lay out a Terminator.
Tbf Karl’thas had disappointing end to his mortal life
Also personally I’d love to see more stuff about them drinking the blood / eating the flesh of the living.
Because as a healer that’s really my most used racial in PvP. It is hard to get some downtime to have Gatorade and a biscuit but I can always look at the floor and go;
Christia Goldie has done irreversible damage to the concept of undeath in WoW and its about time we reject her.
Feels like throwing the baby out with the bath water but okay
I’ll never waste a good opportunity to hate on her and Danuser.
Every time I try to eat some dot goes off and it wastes the minute long cooldown.
Kael’thas deserved better 2024
That’s some grimdark content and I love it
I will die spiteful of Golden and my disembodied spirit will haunt her bloodline forever. Not an exorcist on this world will get me out of them.
That is a fair opinion. And I wouldn’t fault anyone for feeling that way.
Personally, I think most of that feeling comes from what people thought he would be, or felt he could be, rather than anything he ever was. But, I understand that. And like I said, is a fair opinion to have.
The only real issue is when someone becomes aggressive and wants some kind of revenge, punishment, suffering, etc. to those they think wronged Kael’thas or was around Kael’thas and didn’t get the same ending (like Akama). It is both unhealthy for them and not constructive to any conversation.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, I tend to head canon a lot of things like this for my guild.
Magatha is currently trying to expand her age by using alchemy because she doesn’t want to have her grandchildren or children take over the tribe before she was able to snatch Tauren leadership away from Baine.
You know what, I wanna see that, actually.
Magatha makes a move to try and take leadership from Baine claiming he’s grown weak and pathetic. Baine finally wakes up and does something.
