I’m assuming this is just an oversight, the new pvp gear(not old) available in WG hasn’t had any alterations made to the ilvl.
Seems strange to relegate all the WG gear to the history books in favour of better pve gear, any chance they will get a slight buff inline with the furious pvp gear buff?
EDIT: Gear you can buy with Wintergrasp Mark of Honor, the new gear is ilvl 213 - leaving a huge gap between this seasons pvp gear & the new pve ilvl.
Wg gear is always a tier behind the current gear.
For example season 5 the wg gear was 200ilvl (hateful) instead of 213 (deadly).
Deadly ilvl (213) gear is now the “old” gear, replaced by the s6 Ilvl 232 stuff… Hence WG only having 213 gear this tier.
It’s exactly how it should be. Now if you want to argue that even the s6 232 stuff is gonna get spanked by 252 hard mode 25 gear, then you probably have a case to make (and the elite weapons where buffed to match, fwiw, not that it’ll matter to more than a few dozen people who pvp well enough to carry that rating, but also can’t sleepwalk through pve for the handout gear), but the wg gear is actually the ilvl it’s supposed to be.
A tier behind would put them at 225 ilvl, not 213. Current furious is 238 ilvl
If you’re talking about the off-pieces that are 232, then that would put them at 219.
They were 200 last season. This season they are 213.
Yes, that’s how it was in classic, but they buffed all the other pvp gear slightly as they buffed pve gear.
Why did they just ignore the WG gear?
Maybe so you have to choose between better itemized pieces and higher ilvl…
The current WG gear is Deadly equivalent, not Furious.
Deadly remains 213, so too does the new WG gear.
Next phase should give us Furious equivalent gear.
Doesn’t make sense. The PvP gear was specifically buffed in season 6 to keep up with the PvE gear that was buffed, with the exception of the Wintergrasp items. They’d still be 1 tier behind at 226 or whatever they’re supposed to be. This was clearly an oversight.
Deadly is in line with 25m P1 loot.
25m P1 loot is still 213.
It was not an oversight. Nothing from P1 was buffed. And WG gear is always the equivalent of whatever set came out last season. Next phase, if the WG gear isn’t the same ilvl as Furious, then the complaint will be 100% valid. That would be an oversight, one that I’m confident these devs will absolutely make.

False. Hateful and Deadly came out at the same exact time. If this were true, P1 wintergrasp gear would be equivalent to Brutal gear. But it’s not. It’s simply one tier behind
Hateful is ilvl 200. Deadly is ilvl 213.

Exactly - One. Tier. Behind. Naxx10 vs Naxx25. Deadly vs Hateful. Furious vs S6 wintergrasp gear. It should be a 13 ilvl gap, not 25.

Furious was buffed to keep up with reg Uld drops. Current WG has nothing to do with Furious.

And the WG gear should keep the same power relative to the current season’s PvP gear. That’s the entire point. There’s no “rule” that it has to be the same ilvl as previous season’s gear. The logical thing to be done is to update the WG gear ilvl. 1400 rated simpleton with 0 common sense.
If you’re even this high, which I sincerely doubt, then the WG gear should be meaningless to you.
