Ad hominem, stay on topic please, don’t make the topic about the arguers.
Statement of a fact is not ad hominem.
Especially when it is relevant to the discussion at hand.
And disagreeing with you is not trolling.
Except I am not calling him a troll for that, there are multiple people in this thread who have disagreed with me.
I am calling him a troll because he is purposely drawing this thread out by constantly accusing people of logical fallacies often incorrectly. While not understanding the issue at hand.
His own statements show a clear lack of understanding of the topic at hand, which is made clear by multiple people in the thread who do understand the subject. Most of which have tried to educate him.
The fact that he ignores those attempts to teach him about something he does not know and is complaining about due to a lack of understanding with a refusal to correct that lack of knowledge is what makes him a troll.
Actually, attacking the validity of the opponent’s arguments is a pretty good way to defeat them.
It does nothing to strengthen your own argument, of course. You’re not necessarily correct just because someone else is incorrect, and someone isn’t necessarily incorrect just because their thinking is illogical.
A debate is a formal discussion about two or more opposing viewpoints. Debate is discussion.
Layering is a problem that does exist, though.
Yup Mogar…I think you nailed it…“applying current wow design to classic”
This is all hype and speculation. We have no facts …just vague promises so “critical thinking” doesn’t apply !
Tu Quoque, stay on topic, relax.
Layering has problems but as has been proven in the dozens of other threads about the problems with layering it is the least bad option of the available solutions to the problems of a classic launch.
The problem here is that they are complaining about the scaled down testing of the layering tech on the beta and how that is a problem for live, which its not because its a scale test
You have yet to prove anything in this argument.
All you have done is make absurd statements that have been proven false and then troll.
Prove is a strong word, I have provided logical reasoning and evidence for my points. The argument isn’t about me, it’s about layering and sharting on people.
Ten years of sharding - still doesn’t work.
Yet, I have high confidence their new system will work after 4 stress tests.
You do realize the layering on the beta is set to balance the layers evenly dynamically and not based on a set number of players right? Which is the opposite of how it will be in classic.
You doomsayers and your wild theories because you don’t understand Azeroth is round.
Incorrect. Layering is one of the worst options. I’m sure Blizzard could come up with worse (they never fail to amaze me in that regard), but so far it’s the worst that comes to my mind, save for just calling it sharding.
Is there a source for this claim, or just speculation on your part?
You mean besides the fact you can factually test this on the beta by getting over 15 people together in one spot then having others on the other continent to invite you? Or that there are numerous Reddit posts and videos already explaining how layering specifically works on the beta and how to abuse it?
Nope, all magic.
Then I am glad you have no say in the development of the game cause you have no concept of objective comparison if you honestly believe that.
Prove 1 claim you have made in this thread…
Ill wait.
Don’t hold your breath.
Thank you for admitting you have no evidence for any claims you make, outting yourself as a troll takes guts.
