I wonder if anyone else thinks about the sounds wildlife make deep in the woods. Most critters, i.e. bugs and birds, are vocal when there is no threat and silence themselves when there is a predator about. There are those who do the exact opposite as well, the blue jay and cardinal are both known to give alerts.
