We’ve seen plenty of sentient proto drakes in the dragon isles so far, not just her.
How would injecting wind/frost/fire into someone make them smarter? Id say the later might be true as the aspects pre empowerment were smart enough to coordinate and all that but thats like basic intelligence akin to apes/ dolphins or w.e.
Maybe they are smarter than they were, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they weren’t intelligent before they changed. Intelligence exists on a continuum and you have have two intelligent individuals with one being smarter without the other being hopelessly stupid.
It would appear so, to an extent. Raszageth is a primal incarnate. The primals fought against the aspects after they were empowered to “cleanse the world of the titan stain”. They rejected the titans outright. The fact this is not mentioned in the chronicle books is proof the writers just added this later, and that it is somewhat titan propaganda, as it would painted them in a negative light.
Alextransza feels guilt over what transpired between her and the primal incarnates, (their imprisonment ) which is also why we have never heard of them. That and it’s a retcon of course. Blizz are making the titans out to be grey, no longer the white knights we were lead to believe. But they have been hinting at this for awhile now. But then again if the titans didn’t do what they did those ages ago, the old gods would still hold dominion on Azeroth
Edit: all proto drakes had a degree of intelligence, with some being smarter still. According to chronicles one. “The elusive Ysera could debilitate her enemies sapping their will power, throwing them into a deep trance” So even then they had a little of “magic”
I’ve seen them use “proto-dragon” as a phrase sometimes instead of proto-drake. Is there actually a difference between the two, or are they just two names for the same thing?
Because there’s nothing in the warcraft universe to suggest that elemental affiliation also means lacking intelligence. There are intelligent elementals capable of rational thinking. While their goal might be simplistic or basic due to their nature - ragnaros for example wants to burn everything - it doesn’t means that ragnoras, for example, lacks ‘intelligence’ or lack the ability to jumpstart a minions intellect. Magic is magic. Simple and basic doesn’t mean stupid.
Arcane is chaotic in it pure form it comes before the elementals were made .So if they influenced anything it wouldn’t be stable, everything we know that was touched by it went mad.
I guess you are right ^^, I mostly focused on magic/arcane since in game mages AkA magicians use it whereas fel is used by Warlocks, etc so to me the term is linked to the Arcane
Any dragon that doesn’t belong to an Aspect, or in this case Primal. Aka “Feral” is dumb. A lot of dragons turned feral across the years. Minor brood, minor dragon laying eggs. They’re not all gift with “Visage forms” and super sentient.
Would you call an alpha lion dumb?
Would you call an alpha wolf dumb?
The primal pro dragons aren’t dumb, simply uncultured. The aspects have had thousands of years to observe and interact with many different races and cultures.
The primal dragons have been secluded for the most part.
Dare I say it, they still have a primal intelligence.
