There’s several version of WoW where you can just sit in town and get zoomed to all the instances.
This is Vanilla, a time when traversing the world was a core part of the experience. So deal with it, or go play one of the other versions where that’s not the case.
We are repeating the content.
Running thru a zone is a waste of time, it has no meaningful interaction
It’s also why as you level you unlock faster traveling options.

We enjoy the content, that’s why we repeat it. What we are saying we don’t enjoy is the 20 minutes of running to get to the content.

Hey guys I’m just experiencing the world while I travel, I stopped to talk to everyone I saw, I went out mining a few nodes, I stopped for 30 minutes trying to find this rare spawn, then I figured I’d need some cloth so I cleared out this cave for some, then I saw this island on the map I never explored before so after a 40 minute swim I got to It and explored it for 30 minutes.

A few days ago I did a Deadmines run. While travelling there I buffed a bunch of players with arcane intellect. I helped several people with quests. I gathered some herbs. I skinned some corpses. I actually saved someone’s life who was killing gnolls with a clutch nova.
Now multiply that by thousands and thousands of players being out in the world vs. just teleporting there. So much is lost. Just seeing players in the world has an impact on players’ perception of the game and the life of the world. Stop pretending these things have no value, because they do. And it’s something that’s been stripped from WoW over the years. And it would be terrible to remove it from Vanilla as well.
