Ran 8 M+ dungeons on 3 toons (so 24 runs total, each dungeon 3x) - I did the new zones quests twice, and I did 3 toons through wing 1 of LFR.
Now I just feel bored/burnt out. The thought of running those dungeons again is just “blah” same thing over and over and over.
I think the content that always burns me out the most and kills my desire to play is M+. I just wanted to get a score for each dungeon. Since we all know next week it’ll be harder to get invites
I dont run your content but i definitely took a break for a couple months. Just logging in here and there to check mail and respost AH listings.
Finally got over the burn about two weeks ago. lol
You know, perhaps you are bored of M+ because you are doing a level too low for you, I mean it might not be challenging to you. A lot of repetitive easy/boring content, of course you are getting burned out. But if you were doing 20s this week, I know people who did like 50 keys and are still having fun climbing the leaderboards.
I find it common that people get bored in content droughts then come back and play a new patch too heavily and lose interest. It’s okay to take it slow. We’ll be in this tier/season for half a year.
But is there a point? If it is burning you out, don’t do it. There is absolutely no reason you need to get AOTC or KSM ever. That is 100% a self-imposed expectation that has no actual reward in the future except another mount you won’t use. If you like raiding and only want to raid, that’s fine, don’t do any M+. Guilds that force you to do something you don’t want to do, you’re better off without them. You can even raid normal only and still enjoy the raid without any stress of gearing quickly. Almost all normal raiding guilds don’t care, most heroic raiding guilds care but in that case join a mythic raiding guild as a casual and join their alt heroic nights.
Well done…now you just need to do these tasks for the next 5 months or so then once the next patch releases you get to do them all over again from scratch
To be fair, my least played expansions started when they had M+. Legion was the 1st. BFA I played less then any expansion. Shadowlands I played a lot but I completely ignored M+ for season 1 and 2. They added a system without lockouts that gives high ilvl loot that supports you smashing face until you burn out
Move on to another game OP, this game is a stagnant mess that has been run into the ground by a development team that is trapped in 2008. I guess putting a bunch of hardcore raiders in charge of development wasn’t the best thing for the game.
