It sounds like you dont enjoy m+ to begin with? At least enough on its own. You are just doing it to get the achievement. Where you friend sounds like he may enjoy the content already.
I think thats a huge factor in getting burnt out on said content or not.
Remember that a game should be fun and if it isnât, there is no point at all. The world is not better or worse because you killed a pixel boss. Donât force yourself to get KSM or AOTC if thatâs not something you enjoy doing.
Youâre right, I hate M+. I just doing it because looking back, the FOMO, it sucks I can never get the season 1 or season 2 mounts from Shadowlands as I skipped M+ entirely. So this xpac I been getting KSM done then quitting M+
I havenât liked raiding since Shadowlands season 2. But I have every AOTC since AOTC got added in MoP. Always said the day I miss an AOTC is the day I just quit forever
Hereâs me freeing you, you deserve to be having fun, you are obviously not, there is no reason that you need to keep doing these things, free yourself and do other things (that you like) or quit.
There is absolutely no reason for you to be torturing yourself and spending your own time and money to do something that you donât like. The virtual mount is not worth it. FOMO can be hard but it doesnât have to rule you.
The game is too focused on shoving players into M+, this is why people are getting burned out. The developers are too hung up on hamfisting everyone into the same 8 dungeons per season as well. It is stupid. This game has like over 100 dungeons, yet M+ can only be done in 8 per season. I have never seen a more out of touch dev team.
I agree. Really OP I am trying to do tough love here I am not mad at you or anything. You need to stop chasing AOTC and KSM (even if it means not playing the game) if it is getting in the way of your happiness. Nobody will respect you less for not having KSM or AOTC. In fact you already got those achievements in the past so people know you are a player of that level no matter what. So quit if needed, and make sure you address addictions, self-made expectations, and FOMO head-on in the future so this doesnât happen to you again. Good luck.
I do think if the dungeon pool could be a lot bigger, or if it changed throughout the weeks or something, itâd be a lot more fun. Itâs why I wish every week was a timewalking with 8 M+ dungeons from that specific timewalking to play in
