Nevermind…
So you played in a PvP server that was 99% Horde and now with Warmode you are afraid to fight? You know there is a magical button that makes all of this go away? It’s called #WarModeOff
Do you mean “you’re”
I’m not afraid to fight when it is an actual fight. Not twenty people camping a flight path.
Camping the final assault quest location is valid PvP and is done by both factions.
This response, and people with the thought process of this joker are the same ones that most likely didn’t have WM on for the first 2 months of BFA but certainly complained enough to the point that blizzard gave them the added perks.
While I do love that you linked my post, Moraylia is talking about the war campaign ship, the boat, where you send followers out on missions and what not. The Horde war campaign ship isn’t guarded at all, neither are the docks, while the Alliance one is safe as its right in the middle of the town (Boralus) surrounded by guards.
As for the airships themselves… I have yet to see an Alliance make it onto the Alliance Airships that Horde have to destroy, and this is mainly because there aren’t any high enough mountains in Zandalar, (Zuldazar and Vol’dun) to reach the airships.
This is the part I think is actually concerning. I know it’s easier to run around and yell “Horde/Alliance bias!”, but really it looks to me like a lack of design, thinking, and testing on Blizzard’s part. There’s no reason not to have strong guards at both spots. Nor should one faction be able camp the last quest in an incursion when the other faction can’t.
There are numerous easy ways to solve these problems. That Blizzard has not done so, and didn’t seem to catch them at all before going live, suggests that have very little focus on wPvP and haven’t from the start.
I’d rather have dumb solutions that showed they spent some time thinking and testing than solutions that suggest they haven’t bothered with any of this from the beginning.
LOL I played in Bleeding Hollow where Alliance was 30% of the population and we owned that server in terms of Wpvp, even GM’s had to port us out of Org many times because Horde couldn’t do it by themselves, I always have WM active and always will, you can’t handle being outnumber? Go turn it off then.
Can you provide details on which Horde final assault locations Alliance can camp? The one Horde final assault that happens on an airship that I know of - in Nazmir - is protected by sharding if Alliance climb to it.
Actually the Alliance seaship isn’t guarded by any guards other than player character guards. Granted that’s different from the Horde one, where player characters tend to run away instead of being guards, even when they outnumber the Alliance attackers.
Hey, relax. The Alliance 8.0 complaints were addressed in 8.1; I’m sure your concerns, if valid, will be addressed in 8.2. Just be patient.
its very easy to say relax and wait for the fix the problem here tho is bigger than ally getting catered to. The problem is the constant/consistent lack of effort to balance the game. I don’t see how this decision got past one dumbass suggesting it and then not immediately shut down. It’s to add to the fact of how depressing and shi**y BFA is and obviously continues to be. So that is why i demand a blue post becuase these idiots we call developers obviously have no damn clue wtf is goin on in the game. They obviously don’t play.
Technically it is guarded. While there may be no actual guards on the ship itself, the surrounding area is filled with Boralus Guards.
Looking at it currently on my Void Elf Priest… If someone wants to even reach the ship, they’re still going to have to get through several guards first, coming from either direction.
So there’s a route to ride to the Dazaralor docks without going by guards?
This is an effort to balance the game. It’s a first effort, but at least it’s an effort.
And frankly, if the #warmodeoff people are actually representative of Horde in general, AOO and the extra war mode percentage will be gone next week.
Of course there is. You can completely bypass the guards, and you can also access the docks and the Horde boat through the dock itself.
How, by swimming? I guess I forgot that Horde don’t know how to swim - or don’t like to get their fur wet, or something.
One second, let me get there and I’ll take screenshots on my void elf that you can bypass guards completely.
Just confirmed it, and it was worse than I thought. There’s really no guards at all on Horde docks. The only guards I seen were 2 Forsaken Blightguards on the actual ship itself, elites, but outside of that, there really are no guards. There are hostile NPCs, but they dont aggro to you even if you step near them. The majority of NPCs arent pvp flagged, so they wont instantly aggro you unless you attack them. Going to submit some screenshots in a few of Alliance perspective at Zuldazar.
