Fence-sitter Lor’Themar. The guy who has tried to leave the Horde instead of dealing with it internally.
Calia Menethil who’s introduced as an Alliance character.
Literally has nothing in common with the Forsaken.
Valeera Sanguinar, Anduin’s personal bodyguard and spy. Loyal to the Wrynn’s and Quel’thelas.
Guess what these characters have in common? They were all influenced by either Jaina or Anduin.
Were it not for Jaina, Lor’themar would’ve been sitting in the Alliance now. Then again, he doesn’t seem to mind that his own men get slaughtered when you rescue Baine so I guess negotiations are back on table?
Calia is introduced by Anduin
Valeera is Anduin’s lapdog.
Woohoo where’s that fistbump moment boys! Good thing we got rid of Garrosh and Sylvanas am I right?
Was she introduced by Anduin or not? Did the Alliance give her refuge yes or not? Did the Alliance try to claim Lordaeron’s title with her name, yes or no?
No, she wasn’t. She was introduced to Priest players in Legion. Anduin met her the same time the player did.
No, it didn’t. She was a member of the Priest order hall from her introduction, and didn’t stop until after her death.
EDIT: Actually, I was wrong about when Anduin met Calia. He didn’t meet her until after Legion was over. It was a scene in Before the Storm when they met.
Calia isn’t Alliance at all. Being friendly with Jaina and Anduin doesn’t make her part of their faction. She played no part in the faction conflict. She’s Horde now and wants to get closer to her people. It’s not an overnight thing, but surely can’t be worse than Sylvanas.
Valeera is neutral. Her loyalty to Anduin only extends that far. She won’t raise a finger for the rest of the Alliance. Even during BfA all she did was relay messages, didn’t do any direct fighting.
And you’re forgetting the other Horde leaders. Baine, Rokhan, Gazlowe, Thrall, all long time old school members. Lor’themar is loyal to them, he’s not flaking it anymore. The new allied leaders too. It’s not the same as the original Horde, a lot has changed, but it is still the Horde.
And Anduin had no problem taking her on his little campaign, using her name as a way to create chaos within the Forsaken and a plan to overthrow Sylvanas, installing her as leader.
Anduin also worked with her in the priest order hall, and thought of her as “the rightful queen of Lordaeron”.
Did she assist an Alliance king in a gathering?
She was literally a tool to cause chaos amongst the Forsaken where the Alliance hoped they’d revolt against Sylvanas lmao.
She’s not. /spit
She gathers intel for the leader of the Alliance. You’re kidding right?
Not in this story it didn’t. Anduin wanted peace and to try to start bridging the gap between the factions, starting with the forsaken. He organized the Arathi summit as a small first step experiment. Calia volunteered for it as a priest of the Conclave, but she was not supposed to reveal her identity.
Calia acted on her own which resulted in her death. It wasn’t an Alliance plan to conquer them.
You’re implying that Anduin had no idea who she was. While he knew before the meeting, yet he still took her with him.
Here’s food for thought. If she wasn’t an Alliance character. Why was she prior to Shadowlands always at their meetings? Even with the gathering she was there. With Derek, Genn and Jaina, she was there.
He did know and allowed it, but it wasn’t a conspiracy. Calia had personal reasons for wanting to be there, the forsaken were her people in life. But she wore a hooded cloak and tried to keep her face hidden the entire day. It was only by chance that one of the undead recognized her and that’s when she threw caution away.
The plan was just a simple meeting then everyone would go home. Even Sylvanas had no plans to betray that, neither did Anduin. The hope was it would allow for more and larger meetings in the future.
During BfA Calia was living quietly trying to work out her new existence and goals. Derek was brought to her because he was also raised to undeath. But she wasn’t part of military meetings or politics or anything like that. Jaina just checked in as a friend and didn’t even know she was there for awhile.
You mean her husband and daughter? She quickly revowed her duties and left the Kingdom before she had any thought or say over “her people”
Explain to me, how a character relevant through the Alliance’s storyline present till the end of BfA, suddenly pops up in Tirisfal Glades, and without much introduction is sitting on the council of the Horde as acting leader of the Forsaken.
While she literally had 0 things in common with the Forsaken even. She was resurrected even in a different way. There’s nothing in common. Nothing. She ran away from the Kingdom to start a family. That’s it.
Stop telling Horde players to like Alliance characters ffs.
Originally yes she renounced it and wanted a quiet life. But people change, that’s not how it is anymore. When Calia talked to the undead at the summit and saw Sylvanas kill them she was outraged by it. That’s when her neutrality shifted and she saw Sylvanas as a dangerous usurper and wanted a better future for the forsaken. She wants to reconnect to them.
There is no relevance though, very minor. Calia appeared only two times in all of BfA. When we brought Derek to her and in Tirisfal. She was non-existent for the rest of the story.
I agree it wasn’t really shown well in game her gaining the position in the Horde and now co-leading with Lilian (she’s not a single leader), but still. Calia’s starting a new phase of her life, or unlife, she’s not the same person as before. But she’s still not Alliance and has done nothing for the Alliance since the Second War.
And WHO IS SHE to uphold that duty. She was NEVER THERE. SHE WAS ABSCENT. She NEVER went through the pain of “HER PEOPLE”. All the accomplished is have the name MENETHIL. Which means nothing anymore.
All she did was hide, and is now claiming on a thing that has been dead, destroyed. What does she know about being undead, being Forsaken? This hag was just recently resurrected and is already acting like she went her entire life through her undead phase. What a joke.
She was present at multiple meetings of the Alliance, even showcased ingame.
Lol NOPE.
Calia is the leader of the Forsaken. She represents them on the council.
