Good points. And they probably are. Sadly, although many companies are charging ahead with this some companies are not. On and off staff, you’re going to find holdouts.
and what happens when somebody gets ready to leave the game or faction change? Is there a prenup involved where they just get their own stuff back?

I could see this happening in FFXIV, but Blizzard has shut this down time and time again. Never gonna happen.

I’m just utterly and otterly amazed it is not in game. Even DAoC had a marriage system
I wouldn’t mind it maybe if it was like Rift’s was where it just reads something like Naughtymoon is married to whoever and they add in like different color wedding dresses or tuxedo’s and transmogs and of course rings but anything past that it’s kind of meh for me.
