Wedding at wow

I would find it very interesting to do the marriage system in wow, with some benefits between the couple, like sharing the same mounts and toys as each other, some kind of special stone to summon your partner where you are, being able to trade with items linked between the two. It would not necessarily be necessary to divide the money and the bank, this would avoid profiteers or scams, but a guild-type bank could be created, a joint bank.

Sure why not. That sounds cute.

So…ummm…when you get ā€œdivorcedā€ does the court decide WoW asset division or will that be left up to a GM?

No. Not everyone is super thirsty.

I assume whoever is the ā€œhead of householdā€ gets it.

No, I would rather have my characters stay single forever before I trust some random person online.

How would divorce work?

Mak’gora?

Winner takes everything or they can take all your stuff and click that un-marry button after robbery?

I would say Mak’gora winner takes everything loser has permanent deletion of character just to make it feel real.

I have a happy marriage in RL, my wife plays WoW but not nearly as often as I do, so I’d still end up doing the laundry, dishes, tidying up, taking out the mounts and pets to the yard, so nah, I’m good.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was right. This thread is a good example of what he was speaking on. If you don’t know, marriage has been proposed in WOW prior to this. And it’s a hard no. You all may not like the reasons, too bad.

You already have the right to do it privately, don’t ask that the game administer and regulate it.

Marriages in vidya games is just sooooooo off putting.

I love my husband but he is going to have to sign a prenup in WoW. He is poor and he will not be taking half of my pets.

Can’t wait for the same baggage that happens in other games with player marriage to follow.

-Two randos marry eachother for the swag.
-One gets overly attached and weirdly possessive over a stranger.
-One starts stalking the other.
-The authorities get involved

So… warband… ?

This has to be a Moon Guard player.

This would cause SOOOOO many issues. Divorces, someone is dishonest and takes something, stalking, forced stupid relationship content when this is world of WARCRAFT.
The rp servers already have enough unchecked mental illness as it is.

No.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks RP servers are tumors on the face of WoW xD

They are filled with the most nasty, pervy, creepy, stalker, desperate people I think I have ever seen in games. Not to mention the amount that go after minors that I’ve seen go viral and get reported. :face_vomiting:

I don’t mind this at the core.

I did end up dating the person who did my ā€˜wedding’ in another MMO.

But having had it once I don’t think there should be marriage perks that provide combat benefits. At best it could have the ā€˜teleport to’ function like recruit a friend does and work at any level.

These suggestions fit more FFXIV than WoW I reckon. I guess let’s do adoption too and make the kids work like tamagotchi. And rapport meter for your ingame virtual husband/wife.

Why.

None of you are even worthy of marrying me

But… Malgorok…

I fashioned the ring myself.
