So it seems in Rextroy’s new guide to 1 shotting the versa proc stays even if you swap gear out. It seems some classes could possibly benefit significantly from running double verse proc weapons, getting the proc, and swapping back to verse amp weapons.

So the answer is NO.

Pretty sure you can still change weapons in arena… may be wrong, but pretty sure you can. Thought it was just everything else.
Glad this dude is putting in the hours to exploit how stupid this corruption system is.

Went back, watched the video, found nothing stated in the video that logically explains why you couldn’t weapon swap in combat considering I was doing it even last expansion with a fury whirlwind bug for lolz.
You just dont get it.
Two verse procs, proc them, lower your corruption to suitable levels and amp the 1602 proc by another 16%. Makes sense to me…
Maybe it’s why he bubbles every time and then pauses before hitting bike. Probably doing it during that?
Yeah I mean he’s at huge levels of corruption he’s likely to get blown up so it’s just safer that way. But with weapons you’d only be putting on 30 extra corruption till you proc, so you’d be around 65 ish. If you wanted to play it safe you could run 29 base versa so when you go for proc you’re only at 59.
I do get it he is using toad, sulfrons hammer to set up vitality then dropping combat to switch gear. Things you can’t use in Arena.
Yes especially Scaling abuse. Scaling needs to go.
He bubbles because if someone attacks him he has to use a BLUE RING ( that you can’t use in Arena) on a 5 min CD from Shadowmoonvalley. That puts you in stealth and drops combat. The bubble prevents combat again to gear swap.
His videos and use of mechanics are top notch but this isn’t something that will happen in Arena.
Now back to lurking had enough Arena threads for awhile.
I don’t get it. Did you not read? I’m not trying to one shot people in arena. Simply proc the verse amps on two weapons and then swap to amps.

I read something on Reddit saying only corrupted weapons can’t be swapped, maybe it was because of this.

Nah no weapons can be, because I still run TK for the mount and I can’t switch to the legendary weapons to avoid cc
He does some truly nutty theory crafting lol… Been quite entertaining to see him break thing after thing and blizzard having to rush nerf it right after he exposes it.
This video is the pinnacle of bad though… Killing people with only bfa garbage shouldn’t be a thing lol

In mythic dungeons you can’t swap but I’m pretty sure you can swap wraps in combat anywhere else
I just used an example of a place that that isn’t true.
An old lvl 70 raid that had a mechanic where legendary weapons dropped specific to the raid and the raid only that offer benefits to the raid grp to avoid certain mechanics once the 4 champions come active at once.
I can no longer switch into those weapons regardless if the weapons I started off with were corrupted or not.
I don’t think you can swap weapons at any point once the gates open
IIRC pikaboo tried it early in the expansion trying to swap to the healing enchant weapon when it seemed busted for rogue and it wouldn’t let him
