Did you know more people are willing to sit those queue times than queue 3v3.

i give SS 20mins to get me into a game if not i alt f4

Have you tried playing a healer? Queues are instant!

Are we comparing people hitting 2400 in rSS to people hitting 2400 and glad or just hitting 2400 in 3s? o.O?

sure have and i only que into disc and hpal very fun!!!

I was watching metaphors queue 3v3 and he had the same problem!

that’s why we have S4 participation numbers for a S1 xpac launch

Yeah, unfortunately I think there was a lot left to be desired in multiple parts of the game for an expansion launch. Fingers crossed they nail this next patch.

Hardcore classic probably has a lot to do with that. We retail Andys are few in number.

Hardcore is just a scapegoat. It’s not even the same game.

Def not. It takes up a huge chunk of the player base, PvP players included. I even played it a while back and had a good time.

I got to like lvl 50 as an enh shaman before I subconsciously got myself killed to free myself from leveling anymore.

No one, aside from streamers that had to make a business decision, is playing that game by force.

I think that’s wrong because it does have it’s own appeal. I personally have been having fun on retail otherwise I’d make a new character and go agane.

You haven’t tried it?

Yes but that’s my point, you’d be playing it because you think it’s more fun than retail at the moment, not simply because it exists. If you’re having a blast on retail it likely doesn’t matter that hardcore exists, and at worst you’d probably figure out how to make time for both.

It’s just insane to blame hardcore for being there. Too many people say ‘the player base is split’. If retail was more fun people would be playing it. I don’t even necessarily think it’s a fun issue, I just think retail seasons are too long.

I would say it is the effect of a new expansion. We may see a drop off only time will tell but blitz has alot of games being played compared to 3v3 and solo shuffle for this season.

3s looks to have its group of hardcore players that play a lot. In other words the amount of matches total played by the top 5000 players in 3s remains a steady amount, though they could all be only playing against each other causing the counts to be inaccurate.

season Mode Summed Matches Played by all toons* in top 5000(NA)
DFS1 Solo Shuffle 7163482
TWWS1 blitz 6270320
DFS2 Solo Shuffle 5793666
TWWS1 Solo Shuffle 4486525
DFS3 Solo Shuffle 3982006
DFS1 3v3 3079293
DFS4 Solo Shuffle 2895691
DFS2 3v3 2752766
DFS4 3v3 1938110
TWWS1 3v3 1933660
DFS3 3v3 1818029

*to get rounds played multiply solo shuffle matches by 6.

You would need some kind of denominator here to understand the total player base of these different modes. Otherwise it’s like comparing national statistics without a “per” equalizer for it to be meaningful.

only greater than 2400 for both modes.

You are right we need match IDs so we can work out who played who.
