I’ve been a monk since BfA, and planned maining monk again TWW, but after 4 expansions of being treated like garbage I joined the other 41.3% of players playing Paladin and couldn’t possibly be happier.
It’s really hard to not blast a ton of damage as ret, you’re ultra tanky, you have DS as an ‘oopsie doodle’ mulligan, you can cover emergencies tanks with Sac, LoH, and BoP, you have a battle rez – and their DPS isn’t garage, their tank spec isn’t literal paper, they aren’t neglected for literal years at a time – why the hell wouldn’t you play a retribution paladin?
Definitely not a ‘hate the player’, but a ‘hate the game’.

yeah this is spot on. its a VERY stacked spec right now and arguably just too good, when you consider other classes at the moment

In lower key pugs, yes. But, that is what most people play anyway so it is generally true.
ret is in a good place for once, just bring some of the other classes/specs that are struggling to par.

I agree! But bllizard often nerf all classes and make them miserable instead fun.

I know this is about rets, but one thing I’d like to see is the mandatories get handed out to required roles – give lust to all tanks, give BR to all healers. More even playing ground for the dps specs that way.
