It’s a problem, that maybe not have a easy solution for you, but has a solution. Get a second subscription. If you can actively play more then 50 characters on one account, then a second sub is a viable alternate. If you can’t play more then 50, then having more then 50 per account isn’t really needed.

idk man 50 is pretty high and I feel like its a pretty niche market. To me 1 of every class even on both sides is enough and 50 is double that but im only 1 random pon the interweb.

Exactly. More character data, means more storage space requirements, equals more money Blizzard has to pay to store said data. I know you are thinking billion dollar company, but the reality is that data storage and retrieval really is not cheap.

Ion has stated you can not actively play 50 characters so you do not need 51.
What would you say to this? Are you suggesting that you actually play 50 characters regularly and still have time for 60 etc?
Because i tend to agree with him. My account is filled with characters i never play. It would be irresponsible for me to make any more.

I have lots of toons on RP servers, sometimes there’s a time to be a hot void elf chick, other days it’s time to be an ugly Draenei male

I agree. Many of us were at or close to 50 before allied races were released.
I dislike having to delete characters to make sure I have room.

Really? I’m sitting on 30 characters, all 110-120, most at 120, can’t believe you’re at 50 already. But yeah as the orc says, I don’t actively play them, like 6 at most, maybe.

What they are saying is once you get every toon to 120 and have no interest in raiding/pvp what do you do? Delete the toons you worked for or make more?
I make more…I have over 30 toons at 100+. I’ve been raiding more so I don’t have time to level them but in legion/wod I did. I’m at my 50 toon cap, so do I just delete them and make more or ask blizz to allow me to level more characters?

Don’t mean to criticize here, but does ANYONE really have time to actively play 50 characters simultaneously? I mean, I’m struggling with 7 at the moment.

There are 21 races. You can have every race/gender and still have 8 slots left.

For me, if I want to level anything new, I have to delete a toon that is over level 100…which isn’t an enjoyable experience.

Yes, you delete characters you arent playing and have no time to play.
If you actively play all 50 toons on your account demonstrate proof of this, because development asserts it isn’t possible and i would tend to agree.
But if im wrong, id fully embrace another 10 or so slots.

Pretty much this. If you have a character you don’t play, then there shouldn’t really be much of an issue to delete it and start a new character that you might play more.
It’s still not fun to delete something over 100 just so I can level again when I’m bored.
