We need more SKIMPY Clothing in World of Warcraft

Doubt it will happen, if they put in more skimpy clothing a vocal minority will start crying sexism and start throwing the words for bigot around, and out of fear of being called a bigot word most people will fall in line behind them regardless of how they really feel. This is the world we live in now.

I’d honestly like to see a broader variety of mog options then what we have rather then simply slutwear.

I’ve made tons of skimpy mog looks on my hunter but I get frustrated with it because half the pieces don’t even match well .

I would link pics of my skimpy mog but I can’t yet I forgot how to see what level on the forums you are . I mean I can try it’ll be from my Instagram but sec .
Can’t really see em too much but it’s the only pix I have it’s the same toon just changed her to a velf ,but she has the nighthold hunter set on now .

Looks lovely!

I’m sick of full armor sets! Give us SKIN! Demand the right to slay and look good doing it!

There is some sleeveless ones I don’t have pics of atm . I don’t remember the names of the chest peices either been awhile .

Hence these
I have thousands diff other options and outfits aswell but I’d have to login to swtor n take some more pictures.

How is there anything sexist about skimpy armor in WoW? That is the question I pose to such people.

so people want to make their toons look like they are from subverse, got it.

I demand a thong for this fine gentleman over here.

Also oily look for skin if possible.

Why is it that when women walk around in their underwear in real life, it’s called “empowerment”…

but when it’s in a video game character in a skimpy outfit, it’s sexist?

Before anyone starts lecturing Blizzard about how women are supposed to dress, how about we stop letting Hollywood tell young women that they have to embody the very image of a trashy woman in order for men to respect them?

Which is, ironically, the least likely way to get respect from men.

Feminists have no right to lecture the public about video games when Hollywood women were the ones who encouraged this with their own bodies.

Aren’t they the ones always saying “it’s MY body!”, well, guess what, a pixel isn’t your body, and artistic freedom still exists.

Who is anyone to insist that the artists at Blizzard should have rules that not even you follow yourself?

Being jealous of a pixelated woman is not equal to the artistry being sexist.

Why are men walking around shirtless? It’s not to please men.
Just like when women wear skimpy clothing, it’s not to please men it’s just the fashion they desire.

also because they don’t even play the game lol
there is a reasons why Anita has her videos likes/dislikes ratio hidden.

It’s just sad that bizzard caters to her and her fanbase.

We’ve hit a turning point in the entertainment industry where it’s less about content and more about getting political brownie points for being the most progressive.

People who shut themselves in and play only WoW have fortunately missed most of this occurring so far, but when you look at companies like EA’s disaster with Battlefield V, among others, it’s really clear that developing games is becoming a lost art to lots of devs.

They’d rather listen to Anita hoping that one day she’ll let them eat out of her hand.

Could not agree more lets go!

Having looked through the transmog options that are show in the item collections tabs, everything seems to look …at least functionally the same? Just varying degrees of long sleeve, waist high leggings, across pretty much all armor classes. Pretty much every glove piece, belt piece (self explanatory, mind), every kind of footwear, bracer, helm, shoulders… there’s no real minimalist design at all, barring a select few examples in higher level tiers, such as the Zandalari guard outfit for plate.

It’s a shame too, especially when we could’ve got the Night Elf Sentinel Archer set as a mog…and all of the Nightborne wardrobe, too.

This isn’t to say that what we have is bad; all the armor pieces look pretty good, they just …look kind of samey, after a while. Having more plate/mail/leather/cloth kilts, shorts, more midriff baring stuff, would be nice. Especially if the new customization options in ShL give us more body decor things like tattoos and scars for all the playable races.

Some people like showing off their tatts! Or their scars.

This is so true - recolors is what we have so much of, while lacking variety in the style/designs without running dungeons, raids, and grinding pvp tokens for unique pieces. So many other games offer quest rewards that can easily pass for a nice mog as-is, even in the starter zones.

Being on MG, every other female clothie is in black mageweave leggings; leather-wearers in warbear woolies; and mail/plate in bikini armor. Even unique mash-ups can last for so long until we start seeing repeats in shorter time-spans.

Unfortunately, the kind of models this game still uses makes implementing items like short skirts unfeasible due to the lack of distinct separation of character and armor meshes. Take the kilts we have for example - we put one on and your lower body is just swapped with one textured with the kilt; they’re just the kilt with feet attached and just black texture where we would see our legs. There isn’t that dynamic flowy movement of a skirt or kilt when we walk/run either as a result. The Harness of Oppressing Dark is another example - it is a half-jacket and bikini top on a female toon but everything’s molded together with your torso rather than being layered (that mid-section needs to go as well :expressionless:).

Other wishful things I’d like to see:

  • Shorts (and eventually skirts) of varying lengths and styles
  • Loin, thigh-split, or slit dresses
  • Short dresses
  • Sarongs
  • Actual swimwear
  • Actual shades (not goggles)
  • Dyeable armor (may require an engine update)
  • More thigh-high styles of leggings and boots
  • Corsets

nice necro from 16 days ago…umm…no thx for skimpy…but I want more full clothes for edgy style

According to a community manager from this thread, he considers an actual necro anywhere from 60-90 days.

To each their own, though, a combination of skimpy and edge is a nice thought, male and female alike. If we ever get tatts (that isn’t class-exclusive) for customization I’d like to be able to show them off, like garter tatts with a dress, shorts, bustle skirt…
