I’d LOVE a little slider that lets you change the scale of pauldrons. There’s some great ones I’d like to wear but they’re just so big.
It’s best for the world that people not agree with this.
As long as it’s optional, whatever.
I prefer my head-to-toe armored look, thank you.
I’m all for more mog options across the board so long as it doesn’t mean losing out on non-skimpy stuff.
Seriously. I need some sort of plate loin cloth xmog to fulfill my barbarian class fantasy. Absolutely bizarre that I can hide every piece of armor I have except my pants.
Both! Though I liked Yen better. And Shani is bae.
This needs to happen too. It’s also bizarre (as has been mentioned) that the only skimpy pants for leather wearers is a stupid wooly loincloth. I want my rogue to look like Valeera! We need a bodysuit option like mageweave/cindercloth vests for leather wearers.
Also, for some obscure reason, rogues -the most iconic hooded and cloaked class in all of fantasy-, only have like 2 choices of an open-face hood - Black and icky orange-ish/yellow. Meanwhile cloth wearers have a freaking rainbow of hood options to choose from…
I thought it was hilarious that one of the Legion Rogue legendaries was Valeera’s Pants. My first thought to that was “What? She doesn’t wear pants… how do these even exist?”
“Now, I know what you’re thinking - that’s not a spoon, it’s a fork! No one can eat soup with a fork. Well, my friend, you did not know Ysgramor.”
I wonder how she would react when a male rogue walks into the order hall with her pants on.
“Where… uh… where did you get those? And why are you wearing them!?!?”
Choice is good in an MMO.
Some people want heavy plate. Some people want skimpy armour. All is fine.
Wow’s leaning more towards the modest as compared to a lot of Korean style MMOs which lean heavily towards sexy/skin showing.
Landing squarely on one side seems a shame. People like what they like and should be able to mog for their tastes.
On a similar note - adding more things like props (e.g. glasses), more rp outfits (like being a farmer or a wow style trader or so on) and the like is ALSO a good idea.
Chainmail bikini ftw.
Oh, and a nurse’s outfit too.
There’s nothing wrong with objectifying pixels, especially if they are coded in Objective C.
I remember - very well - the mass of quarters I dropped on that game until I had the timing down so perfectly I could run through it blindfolded without a misstep from start to finish. Good times in the arcade.
My thoughts exactly. I think that’s my main problem with armor in WoW right now. The art style for armor sets we can acquire leans so heavily into full coverage that it’s outright ridiculous. How much can the artists who put all that work into the aesthetics of things like armor really make the same design look different before there’s just …no more they can really do?
There’s at least more armor pieces that actually look like armor rather than just paint on the skin but even still, I’m not sure how much that will keep on carrying forward when fundamentally, all armor looks identical in terms of coverage.
It’s what makes the sheer volume of Nightborne outfits so awesome and also so upsetting. They had the WHOLE nine yards, from most covering to most skimpy that was reasonable. And all Nightborne players get is ONE heritage set.
Hell, heritage sets in general aren’t enough either. They look -great- but it’s just not enough, and in some cases only really represents one playable class.
Blizzard needs to let the artists go wild a bit more, maybe put together some team that can patch in extra mog content for us mog lovers to go after? I think I’ve mentioned such an idea before but might as well do it again.
Just …something more. Leather and Cloth in particular direly need it; particularly in terms of legwear.
I really don’t want to see Kaz here in a thong. That’s the stuff of nightmares.
Nightborne was the biggest missed opportunity for skimpy mogs. I would like to see more skimpy mogs for male chars. The archer armor is a chance.
Agreed! I loved the Nightborne outfits, all of them! I hate that they’re pretty much all stuck on just the NPCs. Feels like a waste of art going forward, you know?
After all the art assets in Suramar for the Nightborne as well as the Night elves in Darkshore you would think it would become more available.
THANK YOU! One of my best friends (a woman), loves making her toons “sexy”. I put those in quotes because sexy is objective anyway…like, all my lady toons are barefoot well…take a guess why #dontjudgeme #whateverfloatsyourboat #probablybeingjudgedforusinghashtags…ANYWAY, her toons are skimpy as they can possibly be. Let people play HOW THEY WANT TO PLAY. If scantly clad pixel ladies offend you, go play club penguin…oh wait…
Yeah, I’ve said before how much it sucks that those art assets just …aren’t being utilized again going forward. Yeah, sure, people can go back to Suramar and do quests there while checking out all the models, but…when that’s the only way items and set pieces of any kind can exist in a game like WoW, which mus talways move forward, it does seem like a really sad waste that absolutely none of those sets are available for use by player characters.
We don’t even get Nightborne weapons!
