Wouldn’t Alliance transfer off of Heartseeker (because its 80:20 Alliance)? Or is this server exempt from your rule since its a server in Alliances favor?
People didn’t transfer when the queue was 12k, what makes you think all of a sudden they will transfer over?
I think it would make a lot of sense to only have this kick in past a certain threshold of players, since it only becomes an issue once you have high populations of people all crowding into the same fixed size zones.
It’s a numbers game and I don’t have the numbers BUT lets say a server is 50/50 in terms of representation. If the horde or the alliance has a large number of people who don’t leave major cities, you will still get mopped by the side that ventures out, and that teams up. It wouldn’t solve anything to queue anyone.
OR
Say there’s a 70/30 split in the hordes favor. You queue the horde because of imbalance but they still out number the alliance in open world, bc alliance doesn’t want to pvp as much as the horde do. Again, queuing the horde doesn’t help anything here.
I think the issue is that the servers are so large that every high end zone feels cluttered with ganking or pvp.
Queuing some servers might help, but it won’t make a difference in a lot of cases. I think queue fixing is a band aid and not a solution.
I personally see tons of alliance who will run by me when I’m fighting horde. In retail its the same thing. Horde players generally are more organized in pvp. Alliance like to pvp when they need a change up but lots of them like to raid and do pve content. This last part is a huge generalization but I feel like from experience, it’s true.

If they had queues it wouldn’t be for very long, since Horde would be transferring there. Maybe the first day of this system they would, but after that it is extremely unlikely.
but even if you had a threshold, if a server is dominate, say 70/30, that means only 30% of the dominant side can ever log in at one time, in essence forcing 40% to wait in an eternal queue.
What it comes down to is the OP saying, I’m not leaving, your leaving.
Does anyone really expect Blizz to adopt that???
I’m not sure there is an ‘obvious solution’ to this problem. There are many variables to take in account to avoid disastrous results in this situation. We need to think very carefully about how to fix this. I’m not sure that, at this point, faction queues will solve a thing because players have already rolled their toons.
Sorry to just jump into the topic. I’ll begin reading above to catch up. Also, could someone please define ‘re-roll’ to me?
I think you should edit your post , it would make sense to let the players in queue still be able to play , inside a layer while waiting to be put in the layer with the balance.
Again, that would punish the players not complaining, knew what the risks were, and have done nothing wrong other than try to win the war that goes on in PVP servers.
There is a huge difference between some one complaining they cant play with the ability to log on run around and die, and REMOVING the ability to log on from another. At this point, its a bad idea.
This seems like a spite thread masquerading as a “solution to PvP on PvP servers” thread.
Incidentally, HS Ally frequently tell anybody malcontent that they should: “reroll PvE,” “get gud,” “you lose,” “l2PvP,” “u R moM is ga Y,” all sorts of dismissal and personal insults.
There is no “us” and “them,” there is no difference between factions besides this: which one is dominant on a server.
Designating anyone who disagrees or legitimately complains as ‘whiners’ is a tactic of dismissal. It’s a way of disregarding what another player states as ‘whining’ and also a way of diverting the focus of discussion to that player’s attitude instead of any points that player is making.
However, there is also no legitimacy to the complaints. People selected a server with a FFA, no holds barred, rule set. The entire premise of a PvP server is that PvP is not on your terms. Players that don’t enjoy this would most likely enjoy playing on a PvE server more. There’s nothing to “fix” concerning PvP, if anything the crux of most WoW: Classic issues root back to the massive server populations.
I get it, they feel out numbered and out gunned. Have they tried to organize? How many of the team getting overrun are just hanging out in major cities doing nothing? And this last one you guys cant seem to accept, personal responsibility issues I assume, every single one complaining made this choice and don’t like the options to make their gaming experience fun again.
Be an adult, own your decision, learn you lesson and move on, its a freaking game, you lose pixels and will get more when you REROLL.
