When you create an alt on another server, you don’t have to delete your other characters as a heads up.

Like I said, Blizzard opens up xfers and this conversation can end. Simple as that.
Instead, they doubled down and made things worse by locking the Alliance to that sh*tshow of a server and gave the Horde no reason to transfer while offering them free transfers.

That wouldn’t fix the imbalance issue at all. Are you trying to get more balanced servers, or just play the way you want to?
You may just have to wait til paid transfers pal. But those aren’t implemented to fix server balance either, they’re just to get QQers to pay $$.

Well I certainly wouldn’t spend my days shouting at the rain…if you wanna spend your days getting camped on an unplayable server then by all means go for it bud but at a certain point you need to accept some of the responsibility for continuing to deal with it

Right, this is a response to the general “like it or leave it” sentiment you two share.
If Blizzard means to do nothing to correct server balance, I would prefer to leave versus abandon the time I’ve placed into this character.
Make no mistake, that doesn’t mean this is the solution I prefer. Clearly, as I’ve been advocating alternative solutions for hours here.
It boils down to this:
Blizzard needs to take action by either:
Taking steps to improve server balance.
Admit they royally messed up and let people stuck on these servers play elsewhere.
This is not some radical notion.
Like I said, I’m just at work, and having a conversation about server balancing in a thread about server balancing.
Nobody is mad here (except maybe you guys, I’m not sure). There is no QQ. Im simply trying to rationally explain why these kinds of systems may benefit servers with an extreme faction disparity.

So far there has been far more support for these systems than people claiming them to be stupid. Perhaps you should reread.

This is literally in contradiction to what I just said. I prefer finding other solutions, but if no action is to be taken, then yes, I prefer not abandoning a character on a dying server. As would most people who value their time.

Whooo this is a tough concept for you.
Look, I’ve always been a horde guy since my first toon back in the day when I didn’t have a clue about pvp balance or faction balance, I tried to roll alliance one time and made it to level 12 and it just wasn’t for me. That being said I wish more would roll alliance simply for q times but to my knowledge blizzard has no intentions of forcing people to go one way or the other. Either way you’re gonna love your q times in a couple weeks and all of us horde will be jealous…but I can tell you that the day I try to log in and I’m met with an hour long q due to my faction I will simply exit wow and unsub. Reading today about 3 hour q times, that’s brutal…I don’t even have 3 hours to play in the evening let alone wait that long just to log in.
And I genuinely hope the release of BGs improves the situation on servers like Herod . Because contrary to what you all seem to think despite me repeating myself over…and over…and over…and over and over and over…and over…and over…and over trying to drive this point home.
I prefer staying on Herod and hope that there is something that fundamentally changes or can be implemented that makes it playable again as Alliance.
Because, onceeeeeeeee again… this is a conversation about possible class balancing solutions, in a thread, about possible class balancing solutions.

Have you ever heard of an Echo chamber? Just because you get a few people posting about this on multiple toons doesn’t mean it has the majority of support.
My solution is that there isn’t one! Not unless you want to artifically kill off the other halves play time.
