We need better profession catch up mechanics

Just feels like the frustration is based on not understanding the basics of it.

I explained in full detail why Iā€™m frustrated.

Yes.

I know. It was largely based on not understanding the system. Which is fine.

But I think taking a few minutes to understand it would make most of your complaints disappear.

and then my second post illustrated my frustration. Iā€™m frustrated. Can you just say itā€™s OK to be frustrated? Without questioning the frustration or correcting the frustration or overexplaining the frustration or making me overexplain the frustration. Can I just be frustrated?

Sure.

Itā€™s fine to be frustrated.

Just like I get frustrated when others advocate removing content I like, content they donā€™t care about doing to begin with.

I understand. Itā€™s perfectly OK to be frustrated. not everyone needs everything fixed. Sometimes people just want to vent.

Tried the newer version implemented in DF. Didnā€™t like and stopped. Those who like it great for you. Keep it simple works for me.

A few professions got bags that were absolutely required. Like tailoring has a bag that you must have to be competitive when unraveling cloth into thread.

Off top for my head.

the alchemy one was useless
Leather working gave a very minor competitive advantage when crafting reagents
blacksmithing has a very very tiny resourcefulness bonus with the bag
Inscription gives you more useless Darkmoon cards
all three gathering bags were bad I think.
Enchanting gave a minor competitive advantage in terms of resourcefulness and multicraft.

Jewelcrafting had one that was required to be competitive, if you were crushing gems.
Engineering was like the alchemy one, theoretically useful when youā€™re leveling engineering, but by the time you can afford acuity to get it, itā€™s worthless.

I agree having a new character and getting all the knowledge is going to be hard.

Thanks for summing it all up with the new prof bags. I think if the buffs were greater they would be worth equipping.

I feel like Iā€™m the only one getting mad cloth drops on my tailor. My server ppl always asking how to get more cloth. I put points into the talent tree that buffs drops from humanoids. The Nerubians are considered humanoid so farming cloth in Azj-Kahet especially fruitful.

Eta I might check out the Jewelcrafting bag if there is a crushed gem buff. I get annoyed at having to use up all my bismuth to generate crushed gems. Iā€™ve spent less time maxing my JC this expac and only really do the rings.

Yeah I hate the way professions are now. I miss ye olde classic, wrath version where it was just learn the recipe once, reach max skill.

Not this convulsing mess it is now. Where if you didnā€™t level it that first week, or have billions of gold to start with ā€¦. Players are SoL without a boat or paddle.
