Eh renown gear was pretty useful… the first week anyway.
I honestly hope they give this to you. The reality will be so much different than the one you painted here. What happens if your queue puts in 3 warrior dps and you have no cc or bloodlust?
Arcade mode is pretty lame.
You don’t understand what you are asking for.
If M+ did not have a timer, the mechanics present in the dungeon would become much more challengeing. The design of the timer is intended to pusnish players for misplay, much the same way that mechanics in Mythic raid do in that it’s not a timer that affects the ability to complete (sans DPS checks), but the ability to execute mechanics.
Make a mistake in Mythic Raid == you probably die and the group needs to reset.
Make a mistake in M+ == you probably die and reduce the chance of timing dungeon for crests (the main reward).
The main difference between these is that M+ mechanics are not difficult. There are nuanced instances where misplay/improper positioning will result in death, but these are easily resolved.
If M+ had no timer, more complex mechanics would be introduced. More complex mechanics would lead to a higher failure rate in keys and keys would become drastically harder as the key level increased.
The other players are what make mythic plus lame. And there isn’t much Blizz can do about that.
As you can clearly tell from Aerogosa’s wonderfully condescending passive-aggressive tone, you cannot win with some people, so don’t even try.
I don’t know about Discord, but both Wowhead and Icy-Veins have dungeon guides, as well as M+ guides for specific specs as well.

In which case, feel free to jump into an M+ when you feel you have the basics down. If you don’t know everything, well, according to the forum complaints, nobody else does either, so you’ll be in good company.
How would you address it so that this was not the case?
More PuG friendly than LFR?
I find it much easier to heroic raid than to M+
what do you need all of that gear for if you’re not doing the most difficult content?
What do you need that 300th mount for if the other 299 fly just as fast?
With the popularity of Delves, I think we’ll see a lot more of it as a means of progression in the future. I don’t think Blizz thought they would be as popular as they are. It really just goes to show the direction the player base is going.
A more proper analogy would be “why do you want to upgrade your Toyota Corolla that goes 200 kph to one that goes 300 kph when the highway speed limit is 100 kph.”
That isnt proper at all, because none of the mounts go faster than the other unless its flying vs ground.
This change occured in 2008 with the removal of glad mounts and ashes of al’ar just randomly being 30% faster than every other flying mount and has not occurred since, so your analogy doesn’t work, while Syp’s does.
Stop skipping over what you said. You directly said people aren’t just telling you how to do something, but they are “yelling at you” typically, lower skilled players (your words not mine) always say people are yelling at them when they are just telling them how to do something, often times literally because they just dont like how they said it.
People not treating you like an innocent child when you don’t know something isn’t “yelling” at you. It’s not berating you. It’s not nagging you. It’s just talking to you like the age you likely are, an adult.
I’m willing to bet they aren’t even talking to you as stern as I am right now when they do it either.
All the information you need to do the content is readily available. Everything else is individual skill that, tbh, you should be able to do near on your own or when you ask for it. Not when you whine and complain about it not being immediately available to you at all times.
Besides, you’re not on voice with these people, so how in the world would you know if they were yelling at anyone much less you. Projecting tone onto what someone’s saying just because you don’t like what they said is, as I said before, projection.
Yes, that is exactly my point, and why it is not analogous to getting higher item level gear from Delves and WQs.
Players will get that 300th mount for cosmetic, collection, or achievement reasons, but asking for higher item level gear that has the same cosmetic look as lower item level gear you already have, does not count towards any collection, and has no associated achievement, is clearly not being asked for for those reasons.
Queueing difficult content will not work, we learned this with Cataclysm, people hated it. Learn to accept rejection to groups, or make friends to have a consistent group of people to play M+ with.
Imagine you get sent to a dungeon and the group has no 40% haste. Has no group cleanses for certain mechanics, no battle rez. It’s missing cohesion in composition because a player wasn’t able to decide what they wanted in the dungeon. It makes it more difficult, not less.
Unfortunately they’re not always great. Sometimes the spec guides will cover everything and tell you that you have abilities to counter stuff in certain keys. Sometimes it’s just really basic stuff. Sometimes I can find spec specific creators on Youtube that do a really good job too, but it just depends on what spec it is and if there’s a dedicated creator for it. Sometimes the spec specific Youtube guides are literally just what your talents/rotation should be and nothing else. It sucks that it’s all over the place for M+.
Lol that’s certainly a good way of looking at it, thanks
so delves.
Let’s be honest, a lot of people make sure m+ isn’t fun to play with them.
Talk about projection. Why have you created this insane scenario in your head where I am some sensitive snowflake that doesn’t like when people give me information in game? When all I am asking for is a place to find more specific information outside of the game that isn’t just like class Discords? You won’t even address that, you’re just writing fan fiction about me interacting with people in keys lol.
Where? Where do you get all your info for M+ for class and spec specific stuff?
I really don’t know. Can’t you see that a game mode that rapidly caps out variations would get boring soon? Even if it was fun enough so people would repeat it for a while, the idea that casuals and solo players are just going to spam that for the rest of the expansion is weird.
I think Blizzard created a meta solution intended to…
- Provide preseason gearing for m+ and raiding;
- Provide achievements for raiders who don’t want to be strictly raid loggers;
- Funnel casuals into mythic+ or raiding in order to be able to upgrade their gear;
- Be a standalone progression track for solo players.
In that order. The first 2 it’s done really well. The next? Only Blizzard can know how much this happened. The last? You tell me how many players will stay engaged long after they are capped on rewards.
Blizzard likes to come up with a single metasolution to a number of problems. Generally it fits none of them especially well. I think in this case that’s because a lot of the feedback came from people like Bellular, who come up with suggestions on how a feature might be designed to benefit them, but who have no idea how players who are not like them might play.
It’s up to Blizzard to decide to do honest research on how to keep their players paying and playing. Judging by recent comments on Xitter, I’d say they still don’t respect much of the playerbase, so nothing will change.
