It’s broke, I have opened tickets with 0 response. I get downvoted for pointing it out. This is proof I am not the only one. Blizz should get some of their toys taken away for torturing US.
p.s. you have 1 month to to fix this heap of an expansion. After that if you do nothing (blizz) I will quit just like I did for bfa.
I know it’s off-topic, and the thread itself is about the unbalanced queue times shown on the queue itself, but I’m just saying that long queues would less be a thing if Blizz did not design their 5-mans to have an emphasis on needing a tank and healer to clear. Heck, if they’re really REALLY that deadset on continuing to design that way, then implement AIs to fill the roles needed. It’s already shown with Exile’s Reach that they can do this.
Then don’t play them if you aren’t willing to handle longer queues… I don’t see Blizzard destroying the tank-healer-dps trinity and I don’t see them adding tanking and healing roles to every class.
You can find friends to group with or pretend to be interested in a tank/healer, act like their best friend, act super interested in them worship them, etc etc, to use them for faster queues. Maybe try pretending to be a female and see if guys will simp for you? You know, the typical sociopathic stuff that a lot of selfish and impatient players do in MMOs and other online games…
no where in my OP do i express a negative experience with the amount of time i had to wait nor state that i have issues with other options or avenues to shorten the queue times. Rather than jump to conclusions, you should instead read the OP at face value.
It’s implied, hence the picture showing an unrealistic hour and a half queue time. Plot twist: The longest queue I’ve seen yet, as a dps only queue, in both normal and heroic, was approximately 10 minutes and the estimated time said 10 minutes. Sometimes they would pop earlier than that. Shortest DPS queue I’ve had was two minutes.
Hence why my comment was directed to the folk who do find a negative experience with the amount of time they had to wait and not you. Notice how my initial response was not in a direct reply to your OP.
no where is it implied either, i suggest re-reading the OP… also how is an actual screenshot unrealistic? a screenshot not good enough evidence for you :P?

certain roles, such as tanking and healing has nothing to do with this topic, as the average wait time display isn’t accurate for tanks or healers either… i.e. it can display 20 minutes but in reality queue pops in mere seconds.
He’s likely queued for one specific dungeon, that might be one of the higher level ones. We aren’t seeing the full picture.
Point is, he could have shown a more TYPICAL screenshot of a queue showing 10-15 min and then him getting in in 10-15, but no, he “humble-whined” about it with the unrealistic screenshot.
regardless if queuing for a certain dungeon or random, the fact still stands that the “average wait time” display is way off. If someone queues for a certain dungeon, then the wait time display should show the average wait time for players who queued to those certain dungeons.
But actually none of that matters because if a player queues for a “specific dungeon” then the system simply sticks 4 random players who queued for “random” with the one person who queued for the specific dungeon and puts them in the dungeon the one player chose (it already does this).
im fully aware what the “average” wait time is. i main healer but im tanking this expansion, my queue time is usually measured in seconds and minutes if its offpeak. the average time always has been for dps, get used to it.
the topic has no issue with wait times. but you’re replying as if the issue is with the time a player had to wait.
As someone who also plays a healer and tank class, I am fully aware of wait times for those roles, and I too see how off the “average wait time” display is with those. next time you queue up, pay attention to how sometimes it can show minutes or even upwards of 20 minutes, but your queue only pops in under 1 minute, like it does with my blood dk.
why would i look at the average wait time? im not a dps and i know my queue will pop before i can finish taking a sip of water
there you go, you just reinforced my point
Thank you.
is no one else concerned that they had an hour and a half que? the last time I saw a que that long was during halloween when the horseman que was LEGITIMATELY broken for a lot of characters.
I think the longest I have waited for any dungeon (even if i’m quing for only 1 specific one) is about 45 minutes, and that was super early morning (like 7am) when no one is on, as a solo dps.
what point? theres no reason to change how it works
Be happy you can get in them at all.
Many cant and we are being ignored
It does that all the time with BG queues. “Average wait time: 11 minutes.” meanwhile I’ve been in queue for 30+ minutes.
exactly my point.
