Then roll a tank/healer.
This is a player caused problem. Everybody wants to dps.

this isn’t even what this topic is about… this topic is actually about the pisspoor “average wait” time display and how inaccurate it is. not about getting into the dungeons quicker.
And you know going in this puts you at a disadvantage when it comes to queuing for things.
Tbh I think one of the culprits with Shadowlands specific is the whole Covenant system. One specs optimization may be in another Covenant and then they have their conduits built for DPS. This is probably causing more than a few to feel like they won’t be doing it " right " so they just aren’t swapping specs.
But it boils down to having to wait a long time doesn’t it?
day 7 of the expansion 1 hour 30 mins queue
I had a 50 mins queue for necrotic wake (normal) that I had to give up because a druid guildie saved me and queued as healer… thing that as a pure dps spec I can’t do.
Most of that is because it is an estimate based on a rolling average from the past. However you will often see these big jumps where things don’t line up because a certain time zone hits bed time basically. You will often also see it do it around common raid times. It takes it a bit for that average to adjust.
the time waiting has nothing to do with this topic… the topic is about how the average wait time displayed in game for example states “4 minutes” but in reality is far longer. So clearly there’s an underlying issue with how the game calculates or determines what to display to the player.
If it said 4 minutes but you got in within 20 minutes would you still be complaining? I doubt it.
I think you’re just upset about the long queue time.
I’m not surprised you are seeing it on normal. Most of your regular tanks are past the point of needing it so all that is in the system are those dragging behind, those learning to tank the run, or alts. Normal always skyrockets once the initial surge of people get through it until you start seeing a constant flow of alts rolling through .
not really, when i queue up to dungeons solo, i just do other things, i.e. world quests in-game, rep grind, watch youtube, etc. i’ve been playing wow for over 10 years maining dps, so potential 1 hour+ long solo queue times is normal, even you know this.
No because I don’t do queueable content. If I do its on a tank or healer. I don’t wait. If I want to do dungeons I do dungeons not stand in line.
again this has nothing to do with the topic. also you do realize that other players play tanks and healers too right? last I checked I had a disc priest and a blood dk, so I am not sure what you or I playing one of those has any relevance to this topic.
Like I said if the estimated wait was 4 minutes and you got in within 20 minutes you wouldn’t be making this topic.
You’re just complaining about the wait time.
not really, since I just mentioned, i too play a tank and healer class, but am still making this discussion to point out the issue with Blizzard’s “average wait time” display. Plus if you think 4 minutes and 20 minutes aren’t worthy of making a topic about… then you simply need to search the forums
They just need to implement better incentives for healers and tanks. Since dps outnumber tanks and healers. Or make dungeons be able to be doable without the trinity.
i did heroic on my fresh 60 druid toda and got called a poopy healer cus a mythic 180 gear pally tank who didnt need heals was out healin me by spammin word of glory on everyone b4 my hots trick in
this is why people dont want to heal i was berated and just left lmao
fix the community and healers and tanks will come
one of his guildies even went disc ( no one died tne entire dungeon btw so the whole thing is just wild)
Easy solution for Blizz is to stop creating 5-Man content with the 1 Tank, 1 Healer, 3 DPS mindset, and just leave the group comp emphasis to raiding, but here we are…
You know that average wait time doesn’t mean how long you will be waiting right?
It’s the average of the time it took other players to get in.
