We need better dungeon average wait time system

No, it only does this some of the time. The system is really flakey about it. Specific queues are a far lower priority in the system and it tries to pair them with at least one other player that manually queued a well. I tested this out a while back and I doubt it’s changed much since then.

Queue times are a very volatile thing and are very dependent on time of day as well. Prime example: 11PM EST and 11PM PST is when a ton of people get off the game to go to bed for work in the morning. Maybe queues were 10 min up until then, and then they all got off, so now the average wait time is wrong and it’s actually more like 30 min. It might take another hour for the average wait time to update and reaverage the time again.

regardless, this has nothing to do with this topic, or peak times, etc too. this topic is simply about the difference between the average wait time display and real queue times. regardless if DPS, Healer, or Tank as it affects them all such as the example provided with my tank.

Tower is a step in right direction for this imo

people just hate it

imagine if u needed a tank and healer RIP

And this is why rather than displaying an average wait time, instead maybe it should display an estimate based on #2 in the OP, where it shows an estimate based on the actual real wait time of the last player(s) whose queue popped for a certain role, specific dungeon, or whatever, so that way volatile things and dependencies such as time of day, etc, doesn’t really matter as the estimate adjusts based on the actual wait times queue has popped for real players.

Make healers play like DPS, kinda like Disc from WotLK and people will heal. Make tanks like WotLK and there will be more tanks.

Add more tank / heal specs to the game. More variety means more chance to find a flavor you like.

Problem solved.
