Go play GTA Online then and stay there.
Thereâs no reason in even having two factions with the current story
No one said that there could not be 2 evil factions, one would go after Alliance cities and the other Horde cities.
However, if the alliance are the good guys, and the Horde are the pragmatic good guys, there is a spot for the evil faction to be the dark/unfeeling pragmatists like how the Forsaken could have easily been even within the Horde.
Iâd join a third evil faction if I meant I could PvP the other two in a second.
Isnât the red one the evil one?
What with all the necromancy, bloodthirsty alien invaders, sacrificial blood magic and drug addicts.
Throw in the Goblins greed who were willing to let the world die to make a quick buck.
Iâd say we already have a pretty âevil/morally blackâ faction.
This is like a 5 year olds understanding of the word. There is a lot more that makes a good villain than âthey do lots of bad stuff.â
We get it, you watched the Incredibles once.
Iâd say you read more into the story than how people play. <3
Well what is it that you really want? Do you want real evil, or do you want saturday morning cartoon evil?
Because WoW evil is the latter, and has never been the former. WoW has never been about realistic geopolitics and complex, realistic narratives where people do evil things because it is more convenient, or because theyâre flawed.
So if you want WoWâs brand of evil, thatâs fine. But itâs not any more inherently mature than everyone being perfect bosom buddies.
WoW doesnât necessarily need playable evil factions. What it needs is more complex factions within the factions. Thatâs the problem with WoWâs writing right now.
Since at least Warcraft III it hasnât ever been true in-universe.
As far as I know my lore, not since Warcraft II either. Canât speak for the OG Warcraft though, and I havenât played Warcraft II and it being a few years since I looked it up I canât speak with 100% confidence. But in-universe for the past 40+ years the Horde havenât been âthe bad guysâ (in all honesty for way longer than that), and out of universe at least for 22 years.
Learn some basic lore if you are going to talk about lore.
there is an evil faction - the horde is pure evil
Sorry, I donât see any Cult of the Damned, Twilightâs Hammer, Burning Legion, etc propaganda in the Horde.
More ironyâŚ
Of the two factions, the horde have always been â the bad guys '.
Iâd tell you to read some lore as well, but I donât think that is your issue.
Here you go.
Maybe just in the sense of one being the protagonist, the other the antagonist.
Then whatâs it about?
Thatâs one way of looking at it.
But wouldnât that require one to be doing bad things for the other to act against?
I thought for sure they were creating a 3rd âevilâ faction to spice things up. That would be some good fantasy role playing.
The horde vs alliance thing is played out. Itâs not about being hippies and more along the lines of mutual survival about constant world ending threats. It would be stupid for them to keep fighting when thereâs another apocalypse every 2 years.
If you donât like that type of storytelling, thatâs fine. But having the horde fight for a few months between every catastrophic event is incredibly dumb.
And no, I wouldnât say we necessarily need an evil faction. Plenty of great storytelling, and in fact some of the best storytelling, is done in grey areas where there is no obvious right and wrong.
This entire statement is incorrect on many levels. Mostly a lot of it is subjective and not fact, but itâs also just a bad take.
give the horde demonic looks and they can be more evil
