We need an answer on transfers

Comprehension must be really hard for you.

I’d really like to say something nice and positive here, but
if I had a group of friends and we were going to play together, and half of them are stuck in queues and can’t get in to play
 basically ever
I’d have suggested as a group we ALL move to a nice fresh server. If your friends had done this in the first 12 hours of launch, they’d have been extremely low level and it hardly would have mattered. I mean
what did they do - stand back and say “LOL - sucks to be u” while they kept playing?

I’m sorry. I’m not a nice person.
And I don’t have any friends to worry about, so there’s that.

Lol I think he comprehended just fine. You just don’t want to be wrong. But man are you so so so wrong lol

Sure man. Whatever you believe lol

:rofl::rofl: You MUST be trolling at this point, good one, you got me!

It seems very unlikely free transfers will be a thing when they can make money off of paid transfers.

Give it up, dude.

I think you underestimate what an actual weekend will do. If you thought queues were bad during the week when people have to work/go to school, wait till this holiday weekend. I forsee many rerolls this weekend. After that, it will be time for another look.

They need to just open up server xfers and not force people to reroll. It doesn’t harmfully effect anyone

It shouldn’t anyway. But I can think of some ways Blizzard would donkey it, like failing to put realm/faction caps on the receiving server, or other ways it could be messed up.

My faith isn’t skyhigh that Blizzard could act fast AND close up possible negatives. They haven’t really shown that lately. So I lean more towards a don’t risk it till we straight need it approach.

They did these exact things back in vanilla and they did them just fine. They worked

I know they were doing them in Vanilla. I remember free transfers being offered to help congestion, but I coulda sworn that was later. I remember seeing some offered when I was already level 60 and raiding.

My memory is fuzzy though. If they did it at launch or not, I can’t say.

I’m not sure if they did it at launch or not either. I’m just saying they have done it just fine. And they only allowed High>low. So if enough people join a low server then it obviously won’t be low anymore making you unable to swap.

Here’s an answer. Contact customer support. The forums and demands from blizz just don’t work out.

Right it’s also possible they didn’t have the capabilities to transfer before that point. They may have had someone working on the transfer code the first week after they realized how popular their game was, but it might not have been finished until later.

Please let us transfer. I will even freaking pay to transfer at this point.

I’m playing classic to experience it with my IRL friends from back in the day. unfortunately our entire guild is on Faerlina and still stuck behind 9k people even with the “increased server cap”.

And to the nimrod “BuT JuSt JoiN a LoW PoP sERvEr” people
NO I DON’T WANT TO PLAY BY MYSELF
I WANT TO PLAY WITH MY DAWGS. Lets see how easy it is for you to convince 14 other people whom have invested a significant amount of time to just move and start from new.

Why a population cap for full servers was not implemented at the start is MIND BOGGLING.
