but if we were given the choice how would that change anything for you personally? I don’t get why so many people are upset about giving players more options.
The look of the race/visage/transmog options has nothing to do with the class and is in no way ruining it lol.

have you tried seeing it from their point of view or are you stuck in your own?
I’ve played classes willingly even if I don’t like their race without making a big stink (see orc monk pvp racial when that was important). People are just sick of seeing it in the forums man and now blizzard has put their foot down and gave an answer.

Your voice is never heard if you don’t say anything. I like playing the class but I would like it more if I had more options cosmetically. Is that a bad thing to ask for? Blizz has “put their foot down” for a lot of decisions they have since walked back.
I guess it’s hard to see from their POV when it looks their POV is I don’t want you to have that choice. Nothing about giving someone the option to choose perma dragon or perma visage negatively effects someone else’s experience no?

I’ve already conceded that tmog/better barbershop coloration (let us choose both primary and secondary colors for armor pls blizz) is a must.
Thats not the PoV. The PoV is if you play the dragon class you should have to be a dragon. Are you mad that feral/bear druids don’t get to play as their base model?
Absolutely it does. I personally would start avoiding evokers I hate the visuals of visage I already hate the toy because of what it does to animations and the like. if its such a turn off just play another class?

I empathize with you on this I really do. The issue for me is that I love the race and Evoker class so much that this would devalue what it means to be a dragonkin. Yes, the world would keep spinning if they just tossed Evokers perma-Visage form, but it would create a rift in the (very small) Evoker community of players that like the race and class the way it is now, with the “newcomer” Evoker players that don’t care about the lore of the race at all. And Dracthyr are such a new race as it is.
I also think we already have humans and elves as the top races in the game (heck my mage is an elf) that it would lower the intrigue of the world. Looking around and seeing even more humans and elves.
Two things Blizzard needs to do for real are-
- Make all transmog work in Dracthyr form.
AND
- Let us choose more races for our Visage forms.
I’d vastly prefer these things over perma Evoker visage.

Idk I just think this is an isane take lol? You’d start avoiding evokers because some of them are in visage form?
Agree to disagree I guess. Being upset someone is making a choice you don’t want them to have is legit crazy.

Yup I would. I already get miffed a little bit when I’m forced into visage at the start of an arena match. (pls blizz stop)
not upset, just don’t like the visuals so i won’t play with it. it seems simple to me. now if only the perma visage ppl would start doing the same…

A permanent visage form for the Evoker class goes against the purpose and lore of the class. If you can do all Evoker spells in Visage form, it would make the Dracthyr form pointless, and the class was designed with the dracthyr form in mind.
If you don’t want to have the appearance of a Dracthyr, roll a different class. There are plenty of other spell casters to choose from.

Play the class my way or don’t play it at all is and always will be a garbage take, regardless of circumstances. How other people choose to fun inside their own is none of your concern, and you have no room to insert your opinion into their choices. Some one wanting to play evoker as visage whenever possible, wanting to see their transmog in combat, wanting to play out the fantasy in their head doesn’t hurt you, and you can mind your own business. It doesn’t make your experience any less for them to be happy.
What’s more, until we have more support focused specs besides Augmentation, people will have to play dracthyr in spite of their opinion of the dragon form if they want to enjoy playing support.

Both at 1 minute is inherently stronger than one at 45.
Chill being baseline and having the extra talent point to take both if we want to (or neither in raid and have the extra points (depending on the new pathing)) is an overall gain.

Requirements and desire are two different things. No one is required to play any class or spec. They want to play what they find fun.
Since evoker monopolizes support specs, you have to play it if you want to playing the style you enjoy.

So you made the choice to play the dragon class now play the dragon class as a dragon… I don’t understand how this is confusing. Don’t like it don’t play it.

I’ve acknowledged quite a few points. what do you mean. the only thing I disagree on with most people is the fact that the dragon class should be a dragon. Just like how feral and bear druids have to be in those forms, yet there isn’t any ppl who are mad they aren’t in human form.
I think what I find the most amusing is that your entire “let us play in visage” group uses the “it’s selfish of you to not want people to experience the game the way they want” without having the baseline common sense to realize that what you want takes away the way the game already looks for those people.
You knew how dracthyr looked in combat when you signed up for it. Now you want to take away how the class appears in the game for your own perception of the class fantasy that the IP never intended for.
It’s you being selfish, not those supporting the current state.
And for reference, I don’t really care if they give visage in combat at some point. I’m just pointing out your completely flawed logic (or lack of logic) when you spew nonsense like this.
