I am mimicking the ‘majority’ of complains I’ve been hearing, this is not my own opinion.
Back when everyone and their pet dog ran to FFXIV cause SL was soooo lame, they complained the races were so unimaginative and boring… look at them now. I feel sorry for the devs, honestly.
To those who don’t know, except for maybe one or two, FFXIV races are human/elf-like with; cat ears, bunny ears or horns…
Auras surprisingly prove VERY popular in FFXIV, not as popular as cat girls and vieras of course, but very popular nonetheless and the females are smaller humanoids with dragon features while the males are larger humanoids making it clear from a quick look if its male or female.
As someone who plays both WoW and FFXIV no I want playable Dragon Anthros, I just heavily dislike the humanoid forms also being hybrids, they look weird, the point of the humanoid form is to fit into society.
Also I want the dragons form to be beefier than it’s current iteration, as though they’ve said their are customization options to make the dragon form beefier until I see it I’m skeptical as they only showed those lanky versions in all customization options so far.
Exactly this! I hope they allow for us to customise them into more races and without the horns and scales. But in combat, yea, full on dragon rawr.
In one of the models they showed the shoulder scales were gone. 
I hoped for a monster race … like the Naga 
And maybe something cute like Tuskar … 
This game needs player housing. Actual housing like in FFXIV to give professions a good boost. That was my favorite part of that game. It’s so much fun to make your own place and look for fourniture and decor that other players make.

I am perfectly okay with hybrids, it’s pre-alpha… relax and give it time.
Am I the only one that didn’t like that race and thought they looked stupid?
These dragons didn’t use human form to fit into society because they weren’t with Humans ever.
They have human forms because Deathwing mixed mortal dna or whatever with dragons. It is hilarious to me, however, that they don’t look like Night Elves and instead Blood Elves and Humans when supposedly the only Elf that existed back then was Night Elf and I am not sure if humans were already in their human form.
Op is not saying she wants. She’s talking about the threads asking they want humans with horns.
I was mimicking the whiners. I’m perfectly fine with the current plans, though the option for more races and to hide the features while in visage mode are also ideal.
That’s what I addressed… humans with horns are boring… oh man, got a no point eared demon hunter… its a big ol’ yawn for me.
The option for a Tauren visage form is way more desirable to me than human or elf.
I feel like the odd man out in this conversation as while I generally prefer more humanoid models i’m also fine with how the dracthyr look. Am I…neutral? Is that allowed on the internet?
Ok, I think I know what you mean now… like Ebonhorn? He has his dragon form… then his “humanoid” form is a tauren… like that?
Yea. Visage form is just magic. they can be like ‘oh, I like that mortal’s looks!’ and poof, it is done.
Humans and (high) elves didn’t even exist when this race was made.
Ok, I can get behind that. I’d like to be an undead-dragon lol
