The “not doing” in the air is often a form of moving meditation ingame… it’s the doing something by not doing anything…
Your right, it’s blizzard that does that. I just elaborating on their position and adding my opinion over top of it. Nothing more.
No you’re making them say things they really don’t, statisticians are rolling their eyes when this sort of thing happens. You are trying to make numbers that don’t actually tell a full story mean something and I think that’s extremely and almost disingenuously misleading of the real story. There are many many things to consider when looking at those number not the least of which are:
- How difficult and how painful is it to complete each achievement (time, quests etc)?
- Do people actually care about the content the achievement is relevant to?
- What percentage of the playerbase that was active when the content was relevant completed it?
But quoting random numbers without context or source is not useful and potentially harmful to the discussion.
Good luck getting anywhere with that camp.
We all did just fine on pvp servers with flying. The only ones with the advantage had a way to leave combat and instant mount.
For the player, but for the game it’s one less person interacting with the WORLD of Warcraft.
^This was my intent with my post but this person above has clarified it much clearer for people who apparently only “skim” my posts and apply whatever context they wish to apply without thought.
Good post Jessa.
The exact same way you can’t do anything on a flight path. At least when flying you have control of your character.
You have absolutely no right, whatsoever, to claim to speak for anyone besides yourself.
There are many aspects to this game; some will appeal more than others.
Now go level UP, or whatever gnomes do.
And obviously.
I want a bumble bee mount. Then I want to fly around on that bumble bee while I hum “Flight of the Bumblebees.” This is way more productive than running in circles in the Harbor while I wait for stuff to happen.
In order to make this perfect plan work I need to be able to fly. Therefore, there should be flying in game.
So then you agree that Blizzard realizes that people like flying and it enhances their fun and that is why they made a big deal out of when it was released in Legion? They (at this point) are holding it back because they know it is such a widely liked feature that enhances game play. Why else would they included it on ads when it was released in legion?
Flight paths are just admission that the content is too wide to traverse. Honestly though, if see them removed too. The magic of getting to places that might have then without them is something I reflect fondly on but as they stand they aren’t intrusive imo. They are spread out well enough to be functional
So you think people are there for you to interact with? How exactly do you interact with them on the ground? Also you may not realize that when flying you can still see node and land to gather them.
Exactly. They know it’s a fun and popular feature and now they use it to manipulate time played and a carrot to attract subs rather than retaining subs in the first place.
I would 1000% quit this game if flight was taken out. I spent A LOT of time and real money on my flying mounts. Collecting flying mounts is one of the things I enjoy about this game. To make a game where I wont ever use them again. Yeah sorry. I am out.
This game has already started to become nothing but a chore. More time gates and more headaches. I left the past two expacs because i was fed up with doing max level without flying after a while. Because dailies are nothing but dumb chores. I paid my dues when I was leveling. I did everything I needed to already, on the ground. I should not have to deal with the headache of dodging mobs every day just to get to my quest area, do it, and be done. Chores are boring. Making things i don’t enjoy take forever, keeps me from doing the things i DO enjoy. That means I lack having fun, and I unsub. If I flew, I would be doing MORE content then when I dont. When I don’t and realize the effort just to do my choices is not worth the rewards anymore, I unsub. Zero content gets done then, AND they no longer have my money.
By the way, me farming old content, and doing achievements and collecting flying mounts is content to ME. So don’t tell me that flying isn’t content. It indirectly is for me.
I mean, to the same degree they realize people like other things like lfr that are counterproductive to mmorpgs.
They are not withholding it for that reason. It’s being withheld because they want people to play the game the way it’s supposed to be for a while, then give the nerfed option when that “while” starts to run it’s course.
I hit them with death strike.
The irony is blizzard admitted flying is content as soon as they added flying mounts as a virtual transaction to the blizzard shop. Case closed.
If it was not content each mount would say at checkout “only available to be used in part of the game”
Feel free to correct me.
One other point with the new leveling set up is that it is VERY easy to get to too high a level when entering the new xpac…
With BfA I was in serious pain on my other Shaman as I hit 113 grinding content in Legion for the races …
Now with only the “welfare” purples from dailies I was dying 3 to 5 times an hour (still not sure how much this had to do with level vs the lack of azerlite armor which has made survival almost impossibly easy now I have the 3 slot items)…
honestly, I dont mind flying, but they should have pvp zones where it’s not able to be used.
Oh wait pvp servers are dead thanks to server phasing…
