We don’t need the 10% Algalon damage reduction. Compared to the original wrath, we have better gear, better talents, better understanding of the game, better addons and tools. Why do we need this 10% damage reduction?

Unless, the damage output of Algalon in classic was never the same as the orignal WotLK.

Did you not know this? Most ulduar encounters are buffed from their original “pre-nerf” state in some way or another.

What Aedd said. Some encounters were actually buffed. Last week wasn’t pre-nerf Alg, it was buffed Alg.

If I’m not mistaken, Alg has 30% more dmg and health compared to the pre-nerf version of him from WotLK.

Wish they would have just left everything alone… probably would still have been playing.

Algalon specifically got +30% damage compared to original wotlk

lol

….what? So you already quit well before any nerfs went live and youre complaining?

I mean, I didn’t really do much ulduar, the buffed gear is silly and never should have happened, and pre nerfs are fine but buffs ABOVE prenerf are not.

All they had to do was give us wrath, not whatever this abomination is.

I’ll probably come back around ToC when things even back out again.

Algalon is doing 30% more damage than in original Wrath.

The patch notes of 3.4.1 literally says:
“All encounters in Ulduar in Wrath Classic have been re-tuned to use the original (and in many cases) most challenging iterations from Patch 3.1 of original Wrath of the Lich King.”

And now it turns out that Algalon is actually doing 30% more damage than pre-nerf?

We are better players which is the reason for the buffs of the first two tiers. We would have steam rolled through the content. And it clearly shows you didn’t read any posts about why they buffed the gear. It was to keep ulduar more relevant during the togc patch since it’s such a small raid. It gives us reason to go back and get the bis pieces to supplement with togc.

Damage has been increased across the board in all raid sizes and difficulties

Boss Melee attack damage increased and attack speed slowed down.

That’s not a good reason, we have enough Ulduar, when Togc comes out TogC is the raid. I don’t want to do ulduar during togc, just like I didn’t do during Togc backin 2009

I just wanted what we got out of Classic and Classic TBC, not whatever this crap is.

Gonna be honest I expect this is serious cope and you wouldn’t be playing regardless of which iteration of patch balance we got. You just don’t want to play and are using this as an excuse to validate your decision.

You can play what you want man, you don’t need to rationalize it

No, I wanted wrath, we didn’t get wrath, we got wrath with changes.

Why does wrath get changed so much when classic and tbc were so much closer to real?

alg’s hp and damage was increased by 20%ish because of the ilevel buffs ruining the herald of the titans achievement, original alg would have been far too easy with +13 ilevels.

Black Hole Explosion

20475 to 21525 Shadow damage inflicted to enemies.

this is the current blackhole tooltip, but it goes all the way up to almost 26k in this version of the game, the tooltips are the old version and haven’t been updated for wotlkc balancing

It is a very good reason. Togc will be so short. Going back and gearing Alts and completing more legendaries is going to make progress easier. More gear options are better then less. It sounds like you didn’t like wrath back in the day either, which is fine. But these changes are very welcome and do not change the essence of what wrath was.

Getting so worked up over something you haven’t even spent time playing sounds like you should probably step away from the forums and quite possibly game.

And? Why should we have to keep doing Uld in togc? It’s long and boring. I’ve already gotten a lot of the non hm gear and seen the whole thing except for alg, it’s not really a fun raid, a lot of it is stand there and dps (or hm vez, stand there and not dps) there’s like maybe 3-4 fun fights.

TogC is much better imo, I’ve always prefer TogC.

Ulduar was barely played originally because people just skipped to TOGC.

Just because a mistake was made doesn’t mean they need to repeat it because some douchenozzle on the forums needs everything exactly the same.

You really want to be doing Uld for 10 months? On top of ~1.5 hours of TogC
