This is just yet another way Blizzard shows that they don’t listen. Let’s just go ahead and split the already small niche community even more.
Half the community hasn’t ever even hit 60 on a single character yet. I find it cool to see what other players have achieved on HC. When you go to SW and see someone decked out in T3 it literally brings me back to my childhood mentality of, “that’s so cool” and “that’s going to eventually be me.” (Which just like in my childhood days probably will never happen.)
Such a shame, defilers pillager has literally been popping again with life, and that will just die next week.

Nope, we do not need fresh HC, but Blizz does. If they want to attract players for the Anniversary Fresh, one of the ways to do this is to say: “Try out HC, you can always go to the normal Anniversary server if you die or simply do not want to play HC any more.”
The more ways to enter the Fresh, the better from Blizz’s point of view.
And if players have to be able to move from HC to Normal fresh, we cannot have them moving from Defias or Skulk Rock at level 60 in p6 gear to the p1 Anniversary fresh. So no, we do not need fresh HC, Blizz does.

When you say “We do not need fresh” i assume you are talking about yourself and your guildies, which is true and YOU don’t need fresh.
However there are many people who do NOT want to see lvl 2 twinked-out toons with fiery +100 hp, all consumes + WB, and a bank alt with 5000g as there “leveling experience”. They do not want to have GDKPs that support botting and gold selling. Many players have died to teammates who did not know how to play their class/roll because they did GDKPs to get all their gear. I am absolutely sure some of those players want a fresh experience. Myself included.
Let the people that want fresh, play fresh instead of pandering and saying blizz doesn’t know what the community wants because obviously you’re out of touch.

Yes, if you’re one of those “I cannot play as I like to because other players do not play that way” … then yes, you want fresh. However you, and those others you pretend to represent, do not nessesarily need a phased fresh, and my reply was mostly an explanation of why a phased fresh was a must for Blizz.
As for We don’t need HC Fresh - I repeated the title of the topic, which is incidentally: “We Don’t Need HC Fresh”. And admittedly I don’t. I like to level sowly, I have as yet only one level 60 on the old HC servers, and I am fully able to level each alt as a fresh entity without resorting to either of the two extremes: SF buff or sending myself stuff.
All my points are still valid.
Twinked out lvl 2 players are support gold buying, those gold sellers are botters. In HC fresh, it will be a breath of fresh air to see everyone leveling as the game intended.
Same for GDKPs. its a great way for end game users to earn gold, but objectively it supports gold buying, and like I said botters. Those people bidding on items in GDKP’s are horrible at the game and they cause deaths of other members.
In HC fresh ALL GDKPs are banned, so I will not have to party or raid with those members, and I do not want too.
With all this in mind, you can actually farm gold. your items aren’t worth nothing because gold sellers are getting 1000 bots to farm on the realm.
As for your ending point " So no, we do not need fresh HC, Blizz does." You can look at this post and see other members who responded saying they want HC fresh, myself included. people want HC fresh, there are so many people PVPing to the death to kill their character to play fresh. everything isn’t from your POV or what you think blizz or the community wants

It seems “WE” as in the WoW players need different things. I and almost all I spoke to (I play EU side) are staying at the old realms, maybe making placeholders for names in the new HC, hoping against hope that Blizz will change their mind and let them progress to TBC. Some of course are going fresh, more out of curiosity, and for a fresh start than because they do not like seeing others cheating (that’s what I call those beefed up alts). Quite a lot of HC players don’t give a beep for all those cheaters, GPDS, goldsellers , RMTs, whatyamacallits …
In HC nobody needs a fresh - it can and maybe will be fun, inciting and a lot of other things, but we do not need it as such. In HC there’s always the chance to start over, and you’re never really behind. Not even I who is very slow and refuse to “cheat” even with 1 G

The current community in hc is happy to see streamers and the surge of players returning to hc. With that said, a new server probably wasn’t needed if you guys just SSF and used discipline (AKA not boost). Many current hc players are being screwed over because they don’t want to level through hc 1-60 which is mostly a self journey or account depend on the mode you pick. In addition, the hc severs that are currently going will see a big shift in population with another hc sever being released. Since the server is already on the way and can’t be avoided perhaps streamers would be kind enough to advocate for current players. How? Well perhaps if blizzard were to announce hc to hc sever transfers with limited items(aka none past first phase) and limited gold( a reasonable amount not to disturb the new economy say 10-20g). This feature would not be live for like a month or two, but that would give current players a avenue to bring the hard work they’ve done over without disturbing anything.

No a large percentage of the.current HC population are not happy to see the streamers or the fanboys which will negatively impact the current community. Honestly the only people really happy about the streamers are the gold farmers who will be able to sell to the streamers and their fanboys.

Idk about that although it does seem likely but they already have the most subs the game has ever had currently. More definitely don’t hurt but I don’t think this is a quarterly push. People who play HC tend to already be playing one game mode already.

People fully grasp how tiny and niche the classic & hardcore communities are. Splitting them up even further is definitely rough.
Fortunately I play non-hardcore, and I think a vast majority of players will swap to the new servers and then just raid-log on their ERA character.
