I dont know, the feedback on alpha looked to be largely about gcd changes (when I last read the dk feedback thread) and the pacing where people just had too many resources. Would rather have too many resources than not enough. Returning to a 1sec GCD which the dk had because âhero classâ would solve that issue if multiple people are having that problem.
KM is seeing almost 4 times as many procs over 12 minutes for DW than 2h. That is absolutely huge when you combine it with razorice impacting the frost damage that it also provides to Obliterate. Thats 15% more damage on all 85 procs, but thats 15% more damage on 63 procs that 2h didnt even see. That is absolutely HUGE.
Frozen pulse as well, DW gets more attacks, and 15% damage on top of those attacks that 2h is just flat out missing. One thing I didnt even look at since I didnt even really dive into the talents.
We need parses to see the indication of the disparoty between the two, and it can be corrected accordingly.

yea, I agree with this.
Hopefully they can compile all the sources where dw has an advantage, and give 2h a buff to compensate. Iâm sure most people would like it in a way that makes 2h damage more spikey like it was in its history. Either a flat buff to obliterate or something along those lines.

Not going to get parses yet, at least not meaningful ones. People are looking at the playstyle right now knowing that the numbers mean almost nothing.
DW is out front due to the mechanics that have existed since wrath, the exact thing I brought up months ago.
And we dont have information on any other additional changes are going to be made.
Make your concerns known, but working off wrath mechanics doesnt work.
Then change the spec because those mechanics are pretty ingrained into the spec.
Numbers can be altered and new passives applied ti adjust.
Granted a soec change would be beautiful but ion said no major changes are coming

If no major changes then why would the do all these passive and balancing for a group of people who didnt, or still doesnât, care about balance.
They very well could leave it how it is.
Because we do care about balancing. My brain hurts from this back and forth.

So, do 2h people just want the weapon back or not because Iâm hearing people say they donât care and people who now do care. How many times was I yelled at by people screaming AESTHETICS and now it has shifted for some reason⌠why? I though 2h was always better, shouldnât that be the case going into Shadowlands Alpha? I mean the better option is back now soooo why bother?
The answer is whatever you say it is. As i said in a prior post. Im done debating you. Im done.

Itâs a perfectly valid question, which is it. You are saying we want balance while I am literally told by others they they don they care, they got 2h back and itâs all that matters.
So which is it?
To maybe shed some light on the responses youâre getting, your replies involve the probing of very subjective questions to the point that it seems like youâre provoking people. Iâm not saying you are, but even I feel like Iâm being mocked with sarcasm when I read comments like:
We all know that you know good and well that when the other posters say âI just want 2H backâ, that doesnât mean theyâll just settle for being able to use Obliterate and Frost Strike again. Youâve presented this proposition numerous times and it has been answered numerous times. The desire for its return was the first step. Now we go to the mechanical aspect. Different people have different reasons and focuses for wanting 2H, so to assume that everybodyâs position has to exist in unison is just unrealistic.
Lastly, as I said before, 2H has just been announced about two weeks ago. The system is being developed and tested as we speak, so bashing it with criticisms and questions is not only unreasonable, but extremely unfair to both the players that have wanted it back for years, and especially the developers that are probably wracking their brains trying to figure out ways to implement it in a stable capacity.
If you have so many technical concerns about 2Hâs implementation, you can easily go to the Shadowlands forums and get information from people that are actually playing the expansion right now.

Donât. The need to be counter to everyone, and the inability to to even slightly see the other side is strong in this one. All these âperfectly valid questionsâ are designed to perpetuate arguement, not to actually answer questions. Because you know as soon as you answer it, youâre going to get another loaded, cherrypicked question, full of angst, and a misplaced authority complex.
I treat these people like my 3y/o when I finally see them weeded out. Just ignore them. They can jump into the conversation, but itâs pointless, because everything they type is just laughed at, and ignored. There were a few of those in the shaman forums. I havenât seen them since most (if not all, at times) of the community just stopped responding at all.
Some people have empty lives, so coming into a game forum to argue with, literally, everything, is all they have. Some people canât just let something be, they HAVE to give their opinion. They HAVE to.

People have literally said that to me. âI got 2h back I donât care about balanceâ.
If they are âwracking their brainsâ trying to figure it out then someone else needs to be put on that job. The issues havenât changed since Wrath, people have been talking about what they are and possible fixes.
Iâm not the only one either that has noticed this âI just want 2h backâ thing. I also asked what would happen if they just lifted weapon restrictions and most said they wouldnât care because they got their option back.
It was also stated that if people really needed dps then they could just go DW. Not by me mind you, but by the people who were in this 2h camp. I actually brought up these scenarios and people just did not care.
I have been reading the Shadowlands feedback, and guess what. So far I have been correct in the mechanical differences between DW and 2h because itâs exactly what people are seeing when testing them.
I love coming back 12 hours later to you still having a conversation with yourself after people continuously tell you they donât care to argue with you.
