Again you are pretending he is talking about competitive people when competitive people already do what he does, notice the “why do you think that would be ok, why is that ok”.
He was clearly talking about people who absolutely dont do what competitive people do(Aka casuals) and he is dumbfounded by that because it is so foreign to him that some will refuse to play a meta spec even if it does 20% more dps.
Or how I ll be playing talbadar’s while tryhard spriests scream about how trash talbadar’s is both gameplay and damage wise compared to the mindbender and tendril legendary…oh wait they were nerfed to the ground today and now their “favorite” legendary suddenly is trash in their eyes because they never cared about the gameplay effect of it but instead the damage it did.
He actually said this word-for-word? The fact that you are using the word “apparently” clearly means it is NOT what he said, just your personal interpretation.
Or are you telling us this entire trolling thread is based on your interpretation of ONE PHRASE?
This is just another of Ralph’s series of posts whining about how he has deliberately chosen to play a sub-optimal spec with a sub-optimal build that he has designed for himself, yet he thinks he should get accepted into mythic raids and high keys, because he’s a better player than people who have chosen to play optimally. Ralph shouldn’t have to buy carries anymore, in other words. He should get them for free.
Mediocrity because Blizzard’s idea of “balance” is to buff a few abilities by 5-7% and then ignore the class for the next 6-12 months before doing another 5-7% adjustment.
I just want Blizzard to do a better job balancing the game.
I could play two classes with the same item level and have a 50% disparity in my output, not because of skill, but because of mathematical limitations of what the spec is capable of.
The reality is I’ll be playing the specs I want no matter what - but I’d much rather they, you know, be relatively close to the other specs.
There’s a huge difference from “this spec is a strong spot healer, but lacks AOE capability” and “this spec has 30% lower healing throughput,” or, “this spec excels at single target and demage overtime” and “this spec will do 38% less damage than this spec in all scenarios”
It’s actually kind of a simple solution, don’t play content where those choices matter. You can play any spec you want in LFR and open world content. If you want to push high keys or raid at any high level you will need to be flexible, like everyone else. You aren’t special
I think that the disparity in the meta may be overstated (even if only slightly). If there is a 5% difference between specs, for example, many players who play competitively would switch specs. Then, the spec that is 5% lower looks like it’s 7% lower on wowmeta because the world’s best Arcane Mages may have gone Fire. (Although the example I gave is way more than 5% haha)
