you last aotc was from legion, you only had 2 aotcs still, and your average highest arena is challenger. i dont trust your judgment on “high skill cap”

He’s literally wearing an elite set and a 2400 tabard. I think his experience far exceeds your 1550 in 2s and 1700 in rbgs ROFL.

okay? doesnt change the fact that all through bfa his highest arena achievement is challenger. i really dont care to dig through 10 years of history, and i dont care to look at his transmog.
i never claimed to have been a good pvper. wow pvp isnt fun to me. i just include that qualification because people get butthurt when you dont, so now i look for one or the other, pve or pvp, and typically only within the current expansion.
so because you want to make a stink about it, i looked. he got gladiator season 1 of wod and that was the only time recently. the last time was maybe cata? whatever season 11 was. almost every other time was challenger/rival.
so i guess you could say he does remember cata ret as having a high skill gap since he was competing with an broken spec that didnt work, in high arena. for every other application cata ret was an absolute sleeper
oh and for the record, i got challenger twice this expansion as well on my main, and i play with an xbox controller. so color me impressed that he did it every season. /s

You also forgot the r1 glad title, 2 rbg hero titles, he actually has 4 aotc total. Dartail and I have had loose communication over the years through these forums and being both on ED. One of the reasons he doesn’t have any BfA achievements is because he just hasn’t been playing it, which he has expressed both over on these forums and the arena forums.
The real question is why you’re trying to pin somebody on their xp of current expansion when the majority of this thread has been about wrath-wod experience and him reeducating you about a class he has stuck with throughout that whole time while you yourself said had left it for other pastures?

i didnt forget anything. good for him. bfa is the only expansion i didnt play paladin. probably for the same reason as him, except i didnt essentially quit the whole game. he hasnt reeducated me about anything. if he remembers wotlk-mop ret differently oh well. what we agree on is wod ret was pretty good, which it should have been considering there was a 4 year period where ret just kinda didnt work because holy power. so if over the past 10 years there has only been a 2 year window where ret was purely fun, there’s something wrong.

OMG yes. I can’t describe how much I miss the old Divine Storm animation. I used to just hit it when running around farming dungeons so I could see the lightning trailing behind me. It looked like a damn storm.
And yes to the judgment animation which would make divine toll look so much better.
if we had the old judgment animation, which is basically the new hammer of justice animation, divine toll would look fantastic.
