WCL Launches In-Game Addon!

Soon

I didn’t know about the paid add-on thing. That honestly does make sense but it’s obviously not enforced

For sure, just sending out the PSA.

WCL could also decide to make it free (and find some way to direct traffic to their website for revenue) and it would be in compliance, should Blizz crack down. The concept is not against ToS. Having a paywall of any sort is.

Just a reminder:

You can email archon support to remove yourself from their database without creating a character at all. I highly suggest you do so if you are against the spread of parse culture.

Glorious. Can’t wait for it to be free. Of course all the people that lie their way into groups are very angry that it’s going to be harder to deceive people so they can get a free carry through content.

I mean having no logs is just as bad as having bad logs.

Doing that just screams “look at me! I parse single digits!”.

Blizzard doesn’t care if they are breaking the ToS blizzard just doesn’t care about the game anymore they got peoples money that’s all they care about and the in game store.

No they dont.

a mod that showed players’ FICO would be more useful. :nail_care: :nail_care: :nail_care: :nail_care: :nail_care: :nail_care:

Well having no logs just means you won’t get invited, if you have bad logs there’s a chance you’ll be mocked first :stuck_out_tongue:

Sheez, if my FICO score was used I’ve probably be promoted to Class and Faction Rep.

I mean logs are atleast game related.

  1. Add-ons must be free of charge.
All add-ons must be distributed free of charge. Developers may not create “premium” versions of add-ons with additional for-pay features, charge money to download an add-on, charge for services related to the add-on, or otherwise require some form of monetary compensation to download or access an add-on.

ToS broken, will anything happen? Probably not.

FICO is just the Parse Log of RealLife™.

somethingsomething if you can parse on FICO, you can Parse on WCL :wrench:

So many addon lawyers in 1 place.

I mean…you don’t really need a legal degree to know Blizzard could just say “nah, it goes” and that’s that. It’s gone.

That’s a funny way to say they’re correct.

I dont think they are correct.

I think WCL has a way of skirting the grey area enough to be legal just like other addons have done.

Of course you don’t. That would require being honest with yourself.
