Rested xp should be shut down too. Pretending that the ‘data’ isn’t core to the addon is absurd. The functionality of the addon is dependent on it. It’s part of the addon. It’s in violation of the tos to paywall any part of an addon in WoW.

We all understand that, but its still allowed because you can go around the rule like other addons have been doing for years.
its not deleted its just not on curse you can download it from the parsescore website still

If the addon requires the ‘paid for data’ to actually function, how it that not a part of the addon. If the addon doesnt work without data it would be against the ToS no?
RestedXP has a free version that allows you to upgrade by paying to get around this.

Any loser who pays 25$ to use this addon is better off sequestered in their own circle jerk of 99 parsers anyway.

Doesn’t blizzard generally take a dim view on charging for add ons? Or are they getting kick backs from WCL on this one?
It’s suppose to be banned; came about during the days of Carbonite, which was an ‘all in one’ addon adding a mini World Map, Quest Tracker, Location Pins (for quests), and a bunch of other stuff I’ve forgotten.
But it was a paid-for addon. Like straight up you couldn’t use it, all the LUA text was encrypted using Hashes, and you needed an unlock code to decipher it.
After that crap, Blizzard was like “no more paid addons”. But Blizzard doesn’t really care these days so you get things like this garbage and RestedXP, which sort skirt the rule by having the addon mostly free; usually charging for additional, more focused, features like TSM’s “Daily Deals”. Oh and priority updates and support.
Yeah you are right it seems blizzard doesn’t care anymore I can’t wait for blizzard to get the bethesda treatment since blizzard has been dead for a while now…
Because the addon itself is free.
Its no different than what Rested XP does.
But this addon doesnt work without what they’re charging for.
RestedXP does work to an extent.
There’s definitely some grey area this feels like it’s leaning pretty heavily to the black though.

Letting major companies blatantly break TOS (or at the very least skirt TOS in a way that should be viewed as malicious) by making money off the playerbase while banning players for saying “Sh**” in-game is a 10/10 way to keep a hard earned reputation for integrity and continuity in enforcement. (lol)

No one can stop you from doing the content your sub is paying for.
A group can only stop you from joining that group.
