From Pew Research in 2007:
- Among individuals who use the internet at home, 70% have a broadband connection while 23% use dialup.
And thats all individuals. People who used their internet enough to not just play an MMO, but raid seriously definitely skewed MUCH heavier towards “broadband” than the sampling of “all individuals” which would have also included your 80 year old grandmother.
Not saying literally no one anywhere used dial-up to play. But to act like it was something that was having a profound impact on the difficulty of raiding as a whole is kinda hilarious
