No this is actually one of the most aggregious piles of nonsense I’ve experienced in quite some time. This bothers me and I am not even in a position to recieve echos. Why? Because they actually had to work harder to come up with such a stupid system for distributing these. Shouldn’t the fact that you have rank 3 stuff be enough to actually flag people to be eligible?
A correct implementation of something doesn’t make everything crystal clear either. When it comes to taking sides with people or machines, I will always take the side of the computers. I understand how they work and understand that people are illogical and act on emotion instead of reason.
And once again, I agreed that blizzard should have been more clear with how exactly the currency is unlocked. That was a manmade mistake. But the way it was implemented was not.
Because people complained about not wanting another currency in their tab if they didn’t have a reason to collect it, so Blizzard devised a system that would prevent collecting it if you didn’t need it. Guess they’ll never do that again.
Nobody complained about this. Seriously.
Implementation was a failure. Probably the majority of eligible customers lost currency. That’s basically worse than doing nothing, because it lost them a lot of what little good will they had left, while encouraging people like you to make bogus excuses lost whatever else they may have had left.
Seriously. You’re not helping. You’re making both yourself and blizzard look bad.
Implementation was not a failure. Communication was a failure. What don’t you understand about this?
And as far as “nobody complained about this”, people complain about everything.
You must be blind then, I saw a lot of it “another useless currency blizz, really? What’s it going to do for my main besides nothing?”
There were a lot of people complaining about adding a new currency. No one at all complained that it was going on the currency tab.
The majority of eligible customers lost the new currency because of this negligence on blizzard’s part, and you say this is a sign of success. Wow. I’d hate to think of what you would consider a failure.
OMG ONE PERSON MAY HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT SOMETHING EVEN THOUGH I CAN’T FIND A LINK DEVS MUST IMPLEMENT A BROKEN SYSTEM THAT PISSES OFF THE ENTIRE PLAYERBASE NOW!
Yup, you were blind to it all then. People didn’t want to collect a new currency on their mains, blizzard complied, it backfired. Nothing of real value was lost, get over it.
Ouch Blizzard!
What is the difference? You said that people are complaining about something and then that no one is complaining about that same thing.
Once again, COMMUNICATION was the failure. If blizzard told people how the system operated or spent the extra time idiot proofing it, then this wouldn’t be an issue. Please for the love of whatever you herald understand this.
I feel like a brick wall arguing with a brick wall…
Should have just left Essences as they were at this point.
Word. Alts dont matter anyways.
What happened been gone for like 12 hours?
No. That’s not what I said at all.
You said that in order to prevent people complaining that an extra line had been added to their currency tab, even though they were not able to immediately spend that currency, millions of characters had to be greatly inconvenienced and blizzard sacrifice good will with its customers by causing them to lose out on currency they had earned.
There’s a difference between people complaining that yet another currency has been added that they need to grind for, and your claim, that it was a problem that some person might complain about someday having extra currency they weren’t able to spend.
But beyond that, you are suggesting that anything that anyone ever complained about is worth creating gamebreaking solutions. Just because somebody may have complained.
I’m through. You can tell yourself you won by convincing me you’re simple.
If you want account wide end game power progression you’re playing the wrong game. WoW has never had account wide end game power progression.
This is why we can’t have nice things!
… … and the game has absolutely no reason to function like that.
Let’s be honest and concede the fact the currency does NOT need to function strangely in any way whatsoever. All they would have to do is give the currency to everyone and then have the vendor set to only allow characters to purchase the essences for which they are eligible. With players still earning the currency, if there’s a glitch with the vendor, it’s only a small amount of waiting lost for them to fix it.
Like all the other systems in BfA, this one is SO MUCH MORE COMPLICATED THAN IT NEEDS TO BE…
(Edit: All I can say about someone complaining there’s another line on their currency list – which I never saw – is "who the heck spends much time AT ALL looking at their currency list to even notice another line? Seriously?)
actually its both communication and system. Sure blizz could have put in giant flashing letters log onto your main that has essences. But people that have chars that have different r3 essences are getting screwed over depending on which char they logged onto first. That’s bad system design. It also goes against every other system Blizz has ever designed. This was poor implementation and poor communication
That’s because it never needed it before. Gearing was the only real system, and most people are fine with spending the time to gear, or grinding rep, because they know there is an end goal. You reach your objective, and you are done. Those activities also allowed the player to do the activities as they wanted.
Essences are mandatory power spikes you have to have to play end game. You cant do high end stuff without them, so having to wait multiple weeks across multiple chars is pretty frustrating. Maybe you like it, but I don’t, and many other apparently don’t either,
What a dishonest and bootlicking response to call me a child and call my post a tantrum. Perhaps you could spend this time in self-quarantine reading a dictionary and learning what words actually mean. I’m just trying to get information because these things clearly weren’t working as described.
