You’re welcome.

I mean, I agree if it’s what I’m dealing with. I used to be able to use my mouse to click the macro icons on my screen, OR press #1 or 2 to use my macro. They’ve made it so I can no longer use my mouse to click an icon. Continually pressing keys hurts my wrist and hands so I’m struggling with this aspect of it. I’m pretty bummed because I feel useless trying to play now. I use Gnome Squencer.

k cya btw can i haz ur gold

Sequencers don’t automate gameplay. You press a sequence macro once, it casts the first macro/spell/ability/whatever in the sequence, the sequence then advances to the second macro/spell/ability/whatever in the sequence. You press the button again and it casts the second macro/spell/ability/whatever in the sequence. So on and so forth.

What exactly are you attempting to suggest is the issue here?

You can emulate the core functionality of sequence addons using /castsequence, which is built into wows LUA code.

But maybe don’t since you think cast sequences are against the rules or something ooOOooOOoo lol

GSE doesn’t give you an advantage in any way shape or form. All it does is combine multiple abilities and macros onto a single button. It doesnt fire them off automatically for you, it doesn’t conditionally pick the optimal ability to use.

At absolute best its can distill a combat rotation into a single button, but the resulting output will be a mostly random nonoptimal rotation. It will never be anywhere near what having separate keybinds can accomplish. What exactly do you believe the advantage is?

A very basic example would be a GSE sequence that combines Shadow Word: Pain and Vampiric Touch. You press the sequence once, and you apply SWP, you press it again and it will cast VT. Unless you were in the GCD when you pressed it the second time then it will skip VT and reapply SWP again instead. Yes, very optimal. However, for someone who had a stroke and has limited hand/arm movement, the fact its nonoptimal is completely irrelevant. Apply SWP twice, instead of VT, who cares? At least they are getting to play. It works better with some specs than other, BM is one of the more forgiving spec for GSE rotations, (it’s not a surprise in the least that a stroke victim would be using GSE with a BM hunter) but its still pretty terrible compared to split keybinds. You’ll be forever sitting on Kill Shot procs, Kill Command, Barbed Shot etc because the sequence macro may have landed on Cobra Shot five times in a row. You’ll waste Bestial Wrath uptime waiting for the sequence lottery to land on it, same for Call of the Wild.

Again, what part of this sounds like something you can turn into an advantage for your gameplay? One button, one action. Its not making one button press activate multiple abilities in a row for you.
