Water Strider

I think the irony is you saying there are a dozen better games to play, yet you are here having a meltdown over WaterStriders.

To my bug mount. I will not like them kill you off without a fight.I’ll still love you despite what others say about you. I’ll take you out adventuring the watery areas of Azeroth ,share the view of the new lands and of course doing fishing.

No, the equipment works per character, not account wide.

They absolutely could!

…

They won’t though, because the ability to walk on water is game breaking if you’re bad at PR.

Odd, I didn’t take their comment seriously at all just merely a sarcastic reaction to someone else’s comment. /shrug

Yup you’re right. I posted that wrong. I meant character wide and words failed me. My bad. lol

This is a good change, and this comes from someone who has farmed both water striders. It isn’t about nerfing the strider, it’s about bringing other cool, amazing, and rare mounts up to speed. Once you get the Strider, why use other mounts? They just don’t compare (outside of how they look). This change allows people who have farmed the Strider to use it’s water walking on any of their other mounts, making them all equal. I was tired of ALWAYS using the Crimson Strider to get around, even after I had just picked up brand new land mounts. It just didn’t make sense to use anything else, especially if there was any remote chance I needed to cross water. One cool idea would be to allow the Water Strider itself to continue to have water walking as a baseline, but also be able to add another one of the traits. However, this would again make the Strider OP/used more than other mounts.

I disagree. This snip from another thread encapsulates it well, as I see it:

Just cant help yourself, can you?

yeah… it IS stolen. MY TIME was STOLEN from me.
I did the WORK for something AS ADVERTISED and then THEY RENEGED on what I did the WORK for.

And no…I didnt agree to working for something and having them then steal my time.
As stated…were this the REAL world without the con artist style fine print this crap would be felony charges and fraud, end of story.

Exactly.
Its either disgusting or telling or both to have players in here actually defending this crap.
WE WORKED FOR one thing and GOT ANOTHER.
Fraud / bait and switch / theft of my time investment.
Plain and simple.

here come the next batch of lame excuses.

You keep replying… so WE are having a conversation. It’d be rude to not reply.

So anyways. No… its not stolen. You spent the time doing the content. You agreed that that effort might result in change at some point. You signed the agreement. It is not in fine print. Its really quite evident . *game and content subject to change without notice.

Blizzard is currently one of the WORST game designers in the market from what I can tell.
They cant even take their own mechanics into account when making new content.
How pathetic and lame is that.
They need to admit they are inept and find better developers and writers to do the work instead.

you can foam this laughable tripe out till the cows come home, buddy…sorry if it aint any more true the next 18th time you spew it up…

I worked for ONE thing and ended up with ANOTHER.
That is theft and fraud. end of story.

You keep saying it…(stolen) but its not true. You have misunderstood the contract between yourself and Blizzard. You might want to take a glance at those terms as a refresher.

People should remember, Blizzard is the company that once proclaimed: "All skills and abilities will now be on Global Cooldown, as an April Fool’s joke.

And everyone laughed, thought it was absurd, etc. And now? Everything is on the GCD.

/smh

And then excusing it with some fine print in the ToS just makes it all the more disgusting.
maybe I should put some fine print in my web design work…“we reserve the right to shut down your sites, take your domains, etc at any time we deem fit”
Yeah…the FTC would be on me like in 8 seconds flat if I pulled that kind of fraud.

Is that how it happened? :joy:
yeah…given what I know about the CURRENT Blizzard, that wouldnt surprise me.

End of an era.
Blizzard and Activision were game gods years ago.
Today theyre both money grubbing jokes.

and you can ramble on about ToS fine print as much as you want.
LACK of integrity and DISHONEST practices arent validated by fine print, sorry to say.
But then, Im not the type to rip my customers off or waste their time…

If its in writing and your client agrees to it… you would not be in any trouble. Just like Blizz explained to you that you may log in to a changed experience at any point. You take that risk amigo. You have decided that you no longer want to partake in that agreement and that is your choice. you can remove your approval and not play.
