I’m still waiting for the list of mounts we are using wrong. I really don’t want to make the wrong choice on what mount I ride.

Yes, it was SO necessary to change water walking mounts that players took the time and trouble to earn.
Blizzard removes content to preserve the unique rewards (mage tower, pandaria cloak, WoD ring) but then makes a goofy, pointless and needlessly frustrating change to this one mount.

I never would have ground out the rep for the damn thing if I knew I was going to be able to just buy shoes on the auction house.
And I’m going to miss seeing herds of striders when the next expansion hits

The rep part is what upsets me the most. Every expac they shove rep grinding down our throats, grind rep for this grind rep for that, you can’t fly till you grind all reps. WEll I went and ground out the rep and then they turn around and take my rep reward away. sure I still have the bug but I already had hundreds of mounts that sink when I hit water. I did the grind for a water walking mount not one that sinks

buy a pair of the water walking boots and send them to your alt.

it is still there, and those who earned it have easy water walk- oh its you again, disregarde.
the shoes cost a lot more though, and you have to buy them for every single alt, and if you eve change your equipment you gotta buy em again.
farm the rep on 1 char, and it only costs 40g per char.

You have to use the equipment, my water strider doesn’t work anymore without it. What are you talking about?

Every single mount that does not walk on water
every single mount that does not prevent you from being dazed
every single mount that does not allow you to gather herbs without dismounting.
every mount that has 0 special effect is the wrong choice.
that is why they did this, because if you were riding ANY MOUNT that did not have a special effect, you were handicapping yourself.
so instead of riding around on your favorite mount, EVERYONE road around on their water striders, and their mecha-cylce, and their sky golems.
it is 100% better then being forced to use the water strider and ONLY the water strider.
your water strider does work, just use the equipment you were gifted from having it.
Out of the 28 level 120’s I have 4 or 5 have mount equipment in the slot, every other one is empty. I started to put in some and I seen how useless it was so I stopped wasting my gold, Mount equipment is useless.

It is not 100% better at all.
They could have left my strider alone. Sell the equipment for other mounts. And since the “gift” is destructible, should you change it, you have no water striding abilities without it.
This isn’t rocket surgery.

And you now from doing that grind have water walking for ALL YOUR MOUNTS while those who didnt grind it need to go to a blacksmith and pay 10-20x more gold to get that.

So your complaining they removed your water walking mount, but you are literally given the choice to make all your mounts water walking, and your response is “its useless”
So im confused, 1 second your crying the water strider no longer walks on water.
the next second your saying water walking is useless.
Again, I wouldn’t need water walking for ALL my mounts if my water strider still worked as it was designed. For all the time I spend water walking, I was just fine using a mount designed specifically for that task.

Water walking potions have been in the game since at least BC. I ground out the mount to save mats and gold. But at least now I can make free water walking potions in all my garrisons. But that still takes time. the time I would much rather be doing something else in game.

If Blizzard adds equipment that lets your other mounts also water walk, how are you “forced” to use a water strider?
