Water Strider Discussion

would those be these ‘gymnastics’ that you have yet to provide any refutation to?

  1. I did the grind for a stider that had WWing…FACT.
  2. Blizzard REMOVED WWing from that strider AFTER I did the work…FACT.
  3. Blizzard is now SELLING me WWing for 50Gold per character below 100…FACT.

I see using logic and basic reasoning isn’t going to work here. Hit me up in a couple of years once you take that high school debate class, I’ll wait.

Keep trying. Maybe you’ll even be able to convince yourself some day.

the facts are laid out pretty simple there.
Not too complicated at all.

typical response when reality isnt supporting ones arguments.
Fraud is fraud.
deception is deception
Stealing my time is stealing my time.
Doesnt matter if its just a little bit or a lot. It is what it is.
and its disturbing that blizzard not only pulled it, but that PLAYERS are actually defending the behavior.

yes, when you accepted the terms of service, you acknowledge the blizzard was promising you free water walking for every level you play as long as you play the game. And when they changed it, they didn’t tell a single person. It was ripped right away from you before you even knew it. Classic victimhood mentality, is there any entity in the world that isn’t universally oppressing you?

I’m going to forward you to Google so that you can look up the definition of cognitive dissonance. You’re trying to equate time spent in game with gold and real money. None of those things are the same, and trying to equate them for the sake of your argument is only ending in failure. You’re an infant, a child, it’s really disappointing to know that people like you are floating around this game with this giant ego and sense of entitlement to something that was never promised to you by the company in the first place.

here ya go…google this…

I guess I never will get that promise to show me where I misrepresented the facts, will I?

I’ve told you to scroll up and reread my arguments several times now. I can only lead you to water, I can’t force you to drink it. You’re an adult with working fingers and working eyeballs. If you want to go down this path of nonsense and silliness, be my guest. I don’t have time to explain to a child why Santa isn’t real. Go talk to your folks, maybe they can explain to you why you’re wrong and my arguments are solid. I unfortunately I’m not equipped to educate the handicapped.

dude…I am not scrolling thru 6 THOUSAND posts for your amusement.
you cant refute FACTS, Im sorry to inform you…
These are the facts. You’ll just have to come to terms with them.

  1. I did the grind for a stider that had WWing…FACT.
  2. Blizzard REMOVED WWing from that strider AFTER I did the work…FACT.

I didn’t realize you and I had filled up this entire thread with 6000 posts. You only have to scroll up but 20 or so, but I guess that’s too hard. I’ll still be waiting here after you take that high school debate course.

and you just have to show me where I misrepresented these facts that ive mentioned in many of these threads.

  2. Blizzard REMOVED WWing from that strider AFTER I did the work…FACT.

[quote=“Nihilis-garrosh, post:6093, topic:148759”] seems I could learn a thing or two about mental gymnastics from a bunch of folks who think that being given the option to pay for something or wait it out is the same thing as forcing people to pay for something exclusively.

Context context context.

If I want a sandwich, I’m forced to get up and either answer my door when one is delivered or go to the kitchen and make one myself.

Just because the end result may be voluntary doesn’t make the requirements for it ‘optional’.

Wowhead says it’s 10gold, fwiw.

They should have made the stupid thing an item you can grab out of your heirlooms collection tab. It would have eliminated 50% of the forum bickering if they’d made that effort.

What’s egregious to me is the stupid-long and inconvenient trip across content that was current 7 years back to buy a unique non-stockpileable item on an alt that I may or may not use anymore.

They don’t want us swapping out mount equipment often, okay, got it. There’s better ways to implement that then this awkward mess of hacks and kludges.

really :joy:
need to fix that typo. just got one yesterday and it was 50g.
And that crap of buying ONE at a time, sending it, buying ONE more, sending it.
yeah… I’ve got some not so nice things to say that I shouldnt say at all about that time wasting crap

You can actually say quite a lot in a forum post while waiting the 8 minutes of forced inactivity while taking the taxi-bird to get from Honeydew Village in Jade Forest to the angler rep vendor.

May as well do something entertaining with all that wasted passive boring non-playing time… have at it!

You just defeated your own argument here. Being forced by a third party to do something is not equivalent to feeling compelled by convenience.

Like I said: CONTEXT. It matters.

If I had something that was forcibly taken away, and offered back to me with new non-negotiable conditions, then I’m forced to meet those conditions, or I’m forced to do without the thing I had.

The choice of which I’m forced to do is mine, but in either case something is being forced.
